“Rise a Knight” è la frase che consacrava
l’investitura dei cavalieri medievali, mentre il teatro
marionettistico tradizionale dei “Pupi Siciliani”1,
reinterpretando la Chanson de Geste, poema epico
francese, ci narra di Paladine, guerriere indomabili
che rappresentano i valori più alti dell’umanità.
“Rise a Knight” were the words used in the
ceremony of investiture of mediaeval knights, while
the traditional Sicilian puppet theatre, the “Pupi
Siciliani”1, tells of the Paladins, the fearless warriors
who represent the highest values of humanity in the
French epic poems or “Chansons de Geste”.
Ad una donna romantica e forte, chiamata a
difendere ogni giorno, con coraggio e dedizione,
tutto ciò che le è caro, è dedicata la collezione “Rise
a Paladina”, evocazione di antiche battaglie e di
vittorie eroiche, di valorose, ma femminili, donne

ISPIRAZIONE
INSPIRATION
La collezione “Rise a Paladina” evoca le vesti e le
armi della guerriera: la palma intrecciata delle borse
ed i gioielli in ottone, sbalzati dai maestri “pupari”,
rappresentano la cotta di maglia e l’armatura,
le ceramiche dipinte a mano ricordano i gioielli
sull’elsa della spada e le piume il cimiero sull’elmo
del cavaliere.
The “Rise a Paladina” collection is inspired by the
clothes and armour of warriors: the woven palm of
the bags represents the chainmail used underneath
the armour and the brass jewels embossed by the
puppet masters the armour itself; the hand-painted
ceramics are reminiscent of the jewels on the sword
hilts and the feathers the crests on the knights’
helmets.

i Patrimoni Orali e Immateriali dell’Umanità. È stato il primo
Patrimonio italiano a esser inserito in tale lista.
