Battery Housing Replacement Part
Includes 1x Battery Housing ref A0915 with attached Battery Access Cap
CAUTION:

REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS:
Improper handling of the EndoActivator handpiece may result in visible cracks forming adjacent to
the joint between the removable battery housing and the contra-angled portion of the handpiece,
specifically, cracking results when the battery housing is removed incorrectly or is not properly
aligned during replacement. Depending on the level of abuse, any given crack may be thin and
barely noticeable, or more prominent, especially when the battery housing is not properly aligned
then forced into position (FIGURE B). When cracking is confined to the removable battery housing,
then the handpiece may be repaired with the Battery Housing Replacement Part.
SPECIAL NOTE: Incorrectly removing and/or replacing the battery housing can cause internal
damage to the PC board and/or motor. Severe cracking may be associated with the handpiece
operating intermittently or not at all. In these instances, a new handpiece will be required.

1.
To remove the damaged battery housing, firmly grasp the
contra-angled portion of the handpiece with one hand and begin
turning the non-removable screw cap counterclockwise with the other
hand.
2.
Rotate the screw cap counterclockwise to disengage and
progressively remove the battery housing from the handpiece, then
discard.
3.
DO NOT grasp and forcefully rotate the battery housing!
Cracking may result when excessive force is used to dislodge the
male tracks from the female guide slots. Only the battery access
screw cap is rotated counterclockwise to disengage and progressively
remove the battery housing as described above.
4.
Confirm the placement of a high quality lithium battery and
select the new Battery Housing Replacement Part. Before
proceeding, turn the screw cap on the new part, in a counterclockwise
direction as noted above. Also note the elevated male orientational
tracks (see arrows).
5.
To close the compartment, slide the new Battery Housing
Replacement Part over the battery and position the EndoActivator
logo as pictured. ALIGN the tracks within the grooves to properly
orientate the battery housing.
6.
Turn the screw cap clockwise until snug. The handpiece is now
repaired and ready for use. NOTE: If the screw cap has not been
disengaged prior to sliding the housing over the battery compartment,
it will inadvertently “pop off” during the replacement process. To
correct, remove the housing, snap the screw cap back to place, and
then properly disengage as previously described before continuing.
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR REPAIR:
• Battery Housing Replacement Part
During future use, when the battery requires replacement, follow the instructions noted above for
removing the battery housing and for accessing the battery compartment. For longer life and
optimal clinical performance, insert a premium quality “AA” lithium battery. Orient the positive end
of the battery toward the ON/OFF and 3-speed switches. If the product is not going to be used for
an extended period of time (two weeks or longer), the battery should be removed.

INSTRUCTIONS DE REPARATIONS
Une manipulation inadaptée de la pièce à main peut provoquer des fêlures visibles se formant à la
jonction entre le compartiment des piles et la partie angulée de la pièce à main. Ces fêlures
peuvent apparaître principalement si la partie amovible de ce compartiment n’est pas retirée ou
remise dans le bon alignement. En fonction de l’amplitude de l’erreur, ces fêlures peuvent être
fines, à la limite du visible ou au contraire flagrantes, notamment lorsque le compartiment n’est pas
remis dans le bon alignement et rentré en force. (FIGURE B). Si ces fêlures sont limitées à la
partie amovible du compartiment, le remplacement de cette pièce est envisageable afin de réparer
la pièce à main.
NOTE PARTICULIERE : Le retrait et/ou la remise en place incorrect du compartiment des piles
peut provoquer des dommages internes dans la pièce à main et/ou du moteur. Des fêlures
importantes peuvent provoquer un fonctionnement inadapté de l’appareil, voire l’empêcher
complètement de fonctionner. Dans ce cas, la pièce à main doit être remplacée.

1. Pour retirer la pièce abimée, tenir fermement la partie angulée de
l’instrument avec une main, et tourner l’extrémité du compartiment à
pile dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre avec l’autre
main.
2. Tourner le compartiment dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une
montre pour le désengager puis le retirer lentement de la pièce à
main et le jeter.
3. NE JAMAIS FORCER ni retirer en force ce compartiment. Des
fêlures peuvent apparaître si des forces excessives sont appliquées
pour séparer les deux parties de l’appareil. Seule l’extrémité du
compartiment à piles est dévissé afin de permettre le
désengagement du compartiment en entier tel que décrit ci-dessus.
4. Mettre en place une nouvelle pile au Lithium de haute qualité.
Tourner préalablement la pièce à main de façon à mettre les
repères sur le dessus (voir flèches).
5. Pour refermer, faire glisser le compartiment sur la pièce à main en
positionnant le logo tel que sur la photo ci contre. Aligner les
repères males et femelles de façon à pouvoir remettre en place le
compartiment sans forcer
6. Tourner la vis à l’extrémité du compartiment dans le sens des
aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’au blocage. NOTE: Si la vis ne parvient
pas à s’engager dans sa contre partie, c’est que le compartiment
n’a pas été remis dans la position adéquate. Dans ce cas, le retirer
puis le remettre en place comme décrit ci-dessus.
MATERIEL NECESSAIRE POUR LES REPARATIONS

Lors de l’utilisation, si la pile doit être remplacée, suivre les instructions ci-dessus. Pour optimiser
la durée de l’appareil et les performances cliniques, utiliser une pile de qualité optimale “AA”
Lithium. Placer la pile de façon à mettre la partie + en direction du bouton ON/OFF et du bouton de
contrôle des vitesses. Si l’appareil ne doit pas être utilisé pendant une période prolongée (deux
semaines au moins), les piles doivent être retirées.

ACHTUNG:
Laut US-Bundesgesetz darf dieses Produkt nur durch einen Zahnarzt oder auf Bestellung eines
Zahnarztes abgegeben werden.
REPARATURANLEITUNG:
Bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch des EndoActivator Handstücks können an der Verbindungsstelle
zwischen dem abnehmbaren Batteriegehäuse und dem abgewinkelten Hals des Handstücks
sichtbare Risse auftreten. Es kommt insbesondere dann zu Rissbildung, wenn das
Batteriegehäuse unkorrekt entfernt bzw. in falscher Ausrichtung wieder befestigt wird. Je nach der
Art des Fehlgebrauchs können Risse dünn und kaum sichtbar oder, vor allem bei gewaltsamer
Wiederbefestigung eines falsch ausgerichteten Batteriegehäuses, deutlich ausgeprägt sein
(ABBILDUNG B). Beschränken sich die Risse auf das abnehmbare Batteriegehäuse, so kann das
Handstück mit dem Batteriegehäuse-Ersatzteil repariert werden.
HINWEIS: Unkorrekte Entfernung und/oder Wiederbefestigung des Batteriegehäuses kann auch
zu Schäden an der Leiterplatte und/oder am Motor im Inneren des Geräts führen. Erkennbar ist
dies an größeren Rissen und an zeitweilig oder ganz aussetzender Funktionsfähigkeit des
Handstücks. In solchen Fällen ist ein neues Handstück erforderlich.

1. Zur Entfernung eines schadhaften Batteriegehäuses den abgewinkelten
Hals des Handstücks mit der einen Hand gut festhalten und die nicht
abnehmbare Schraubkappe dann mit der anderen Hand gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn drehen.
2. Die Schraubkappe so lange gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen, bis sich das
Batteriegehäuse vom Handstück löst und abziehen lässt. Das Gehäuse
entsorgen.
3. NICHT das ganze Batteriegehäuse gewaltsam drehen! Beim Versuch, die
Führungskanten mit Gewalt aus den Rillen zu heben, können sich Risse
bilden. Lediglich die Schraubkappe, wie oben beschrieben, gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn drehen, bis sich das Batteriegehäuse vom Handstück löst
und abziehen lässt.
4. Kontrollieren, ob eine hochwertige Lithiumbatterie eingesetzt ist, und das
Batteriegehäuse-Ersatzteil zur Hand nehmen. Zunächst die Schraubkappe
am neuen Gehäuse, wie oben gezeigt, gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen.
Die Führungskanten zur korrekten Orientierung des Gehäuses beachten
(siehe Pfeile).
5. Das neue Batteriegehäuse über das Batteriefach schieben und dabei das
EndoActivator Logo wie im Bild gezeigt positionieren. Die Führungskanten
(Orientierungsmarken) auf die entsprechenden Rillen AUSRICHTEN.
6. Die Schraubkappe im Uhrzeigersinn festdrehen. Das Handstück ist nun
repariert und betriebsbereit. HINWEIS: Wird das Batteriegehäuse über das
Batteriefach geschoben, ohne dass vorher die Schraubkappe aufgedreht
wurde, so kann die Kappe dabei versehentlich wegspringen. In diesem
Fall das Gehäuse abnehmen, die Schraubkappe wieder korrekt einsetzen
und dann, wie oben beschrieben, gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen.
Danach das Gehäuse befestigen.
ZUR REPARATUR ERFORDERLICH:
• Batteriegehäuse-Ersatzteil
Beim künftigen Auswechseln der Batterie bitte die obige Anleitung zum Abnehmen des Batteriegehäuses
(Zugang zum Batteriefach) beachten. Für möglichst lange Lebensdauer und optimale klinische Leistung eine
hochwertige Lithiumbatterie Typ „AA“ einsetzen. Der Pluspol der Batterie muss dabei in Richtung des
EIN/AUS- und des Frequenzwahlschalters zeigen. Wenn das Produkt über einen längeren Zeitraum (zwei
Wochen oder mehr) nicht benutzt wird, sollte die Batterie herausgenommen werden.

ISTRUZIONI PER LA RIPARAZIONE:
La manipolazione non corretta del manipolo EndoActivator può causare incrinature visibili vicino al
punto di giunzione tra il porta batteria rimovibile della batteria e la parte contrangolo del manipolo.
In particolare, le incrinature si verificano quando il porta batteria viene rimosso non in modo
corretto o non è perfettamente allineato durante la sostituzione. A seconda dell’errore commesso,
le incrinature possono essere sottili e appena visibili, o più pronunciate, soprattutto quando il porta
batteria non è ben allineato e viene forzato in posizione (FIGURA B). Quando le incrinature si
limitano al porta batteria rimovibile, il manipolo può essere riparato utilizzando il pezzo di ricambio
del porta batteria.
NOTA IMPORTANTE: La rimozione e/o sostituzione non corretta del porta batteria può causare
danni interni alla scheda PC e/o al motore. Un’incrinatura grave può portare il manipolo a
funzionare in modo intermittente o a non funzionare del tutto. In questo caso, sarà necessario un
nuovo manipolo.

1. Per rimuovere il porta batteria danneggiato, afferrare in modo
saldamente la parte contrangolo del manipolo con una mano e
iniziare a ruotare il tappo a vite non rimovibile in senso
antiorario con l’altra mano.
2. Ruotare il tappo a vite in senso antiorario per sganciare e
progressivamente rimuovere il porta batteria dal manipolo, e
quindi scartarlo.
3. NON impugnare e ruotare con forza il porta batteria! L’uso
eccessivo della forza per separare le rotaie maschio dalle
scanalature femmina di guida, puo’causare incrinature. Per
sganciare e progressivamente rimuovere il porta batteria,
ruotare in senso antiorario solo il tappo a vite di accesso alla
batteria, come sopra descritto.
4. Utilizzare una batteria al litio di elevata qualità e scegliere un
nuovo pezzo di ricambio del porta batteria . Prima di
procedere, ruotare il tappo a vite sul nuovo pezzo di ricambio
in senso antiorario come sopra descritto. Fare attenzione
anche alle rotaie maschio di orientamento (vedere frecce).
5. Per chiudere lo scomparto, far scorrere il nuovo porta batteria
sopra alla batteria e posizionare il logo Endoactivator come
illustrato. ALLINEARE le rotaie con le scanalature per orientare
correttamente il porta batteria.
6. Ruotare il tappo a vite in senso orario fino a fine corsa. Il
manipolo ora è riparato e pronto all’uso. NOTA: Il tappo a vite
salterà via inavvertitamente durante il processo di sostituzione
se non è stato sganciato prima di far scorrere l’alloggio sopra
allo scomparto della batteria. Per una procedura corretta,
rimuovere l’alloggio, applicare nuovamente il tappo al suo
posto e prima di procedere, disassemblare correttamente
come sopra descritto.
MATERIALI NECESSARI PER LA RIPARAZIONE:
• Ricambio del porta batteria
Nel corso dell’utilizzo del prodotto, quando la batteria deve essere sostituita, seguire le istruzioni di
cui sopra per la rimozione del porta batteria e per l’accesso allo scomparto della batteria. Per una
durata a lungo termine e prestazioni cliniche ottimali, inserire una batteria al litio di qualità “AA”.
Orientare l’estremità positiva della batteria verso gli interruttori ON/OFF e a tre velocità. Se il
prodotto non viene utilizzato per un lungo periodo di tempo (due settimane o più), la batteria deve
essere rimossa.

un dentista.
INSTRUCCIONES DE REPARACIÓN:
Un manejo inadecuado de la pieza de mano EndoActivator puede producir grietas visibles en la
zona de unión entre la carcasa removible de la pila y la porción angulada de la pieza de mano.
Específicamente, las grietas se producen cuando la carcasa de la pila se retira de forma incorrecta
o no se alinea correctamente cuando se cambia. Dependiendo del grado de mal uso, cualquier
grieta que se produzca puede ser fina y casi inapreciable, o más llamativa, especialmente cuando
la carcasa de la pila no está bien alineada y se fuerza para que entre en su posición (FIGURA B).
Cuando la grieta aparece en la carcasa removible de la pila, entonces la pieza de mano debe ser
reparada, cambiando la carcasa de la pila.
NOTA ESPECIAL: un incorrecto recambio de la carcasa de la pila puede causar daño interno en el
panel del PC y/o motor. La aparición de grietas severas puede estar asociada al uso intermitente
de la pieza de mano. En estos casos, puede ser necesario cambiar la pieza de mano.

1. Para quitar la carcasa dañada de la pila, sujetar firmemente la parte
del contraángulo de la pieza de mano con una mano y empezar a
girar el tapón desenroscar no reutilizable, con la otra mano, en
sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj.
2. Rotar el tapón desenroscar en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj,
para desencajar y progresivamente separar la carcasa de la batería,
de la pieza de mano; después desecharla.
3. ¡NO sujetar ni rotar enérgicamente la carcasa de la pila! Se puede
agrietar si se aplica excesiva fuerza para sacar los rieles macho de
los huecos hembra. Sólo el tapón desenroscable de acceso a la
batería se rota en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj para
desencajar y separar la carcasa de la pila, como se ha descrito
anteriormente.
4. Confirmar la presencia de una pila de litio de alta calidad y
seleccionar el nuevo recambio de la carcasa de la pila. Antes de
comenzar, colocar el tapón en la carcasa nueva con un movimiento
en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj, como se ha descrito
anteriormente. También hay que fijarse en la orientación de las guías
macho salientes (ver flechas).
5. Para cerrar el compartimento, deslizar el recambio de la carcasa de
la pila sobre ésta y posicionar el logo EndoActivator como se muestra
en la fotografía. ALINEAR las guías con los rieles, para orientar
adecuadamente la carcasa de la pila.
6. Girar el tapón enroscable en sentido de las agujas del reloj hasta que
quede ajustado. La pieza de mano está ahora reparada y lista para su
uso. NOTA: Si no se ha quitado el tapón antes de colocar la carcasa
sobre el compartimento de la pila, podría caerse de forma inadvertida
durante el proceso de recambio. Para evitar que ésto ocurra, retirar la
carcasa, colocar el tapón en su sitio, y, antes de continuar ,
desmontarla tal y como se ha descrito.
MATERIALES NECESARIOS PARA LA REPARACION:
• Recambio de la carcasa de la pila
En posteriores usos, cuando se necesite cambiar la pila, seguir las instrucciones de recambio de
la carcasa de la pila y acceso al compartimento de la pila descrita anteriormente. Para aumentar la
duración y obtener un óptimo rendimiento clínico, se recomienda el uso de pilas de litio “AA” de
alta calidad. Orientar el polo positivo de la pila hacia los botones de ON/OFF y del selector de
velocidad. Si no se va a usar el producto durante un largo periodo de tiempo (dos semanas o
más), es conveniente quitar la pila.
