Il numero 29 segna due traguardi, l’inizio dell’ottavo anno di vita di Dadi&Piombo e la sua trasformazione in una rivista tutta a
colori. Questo è stato reso possibile anche grazie al sostegno di
lettori e inserzionisti. Lo sforzo non è stato indifferente, ma il risultato lo avete tra le mani e ora il prossimo obiettivo sarà aumentare progressivamente le pagine. Con l’aumento delle pagine potrebbero aumentare anche gli argomenti trattati. Potremmo
dare più spazio ai boardgames, alla plastica e potremmo aprire
anche al “non storico” come del resto ormai fanno tutte le altre
riviste. Siamo consapevoli che per molti wargamer esiste un
confine invalicabile tra “storico” e “non storico”, genere questo
spesso erroneamente identificato con il solo fantasy o peggio
con il fantasy di una nota ditta. Tuttavia i generi con cui possiamo giocare con le nostre miniature sono tantissimi: il futuribile,
la fantascienza, il mitologico, il genere horror, western, il pulp e
avventura o simulazioni “civili” tipo interventi dei vigili del fuoco o simili. Abbiamo molte idee e siamo convinti ne abbiate anche voi, non teniamole in un cassetto.
Issue 29 is an important milestone for two reasons; it marks the
start of the eighth year of Dadi&Piombo, and at the same time it
is our first full-colour issue. And neither of these milestones
would have been reached without the precious support of our
readers and advertisers. It hasn’t been easy, but you are holding
the result in your hands, and now our next objective is to gradually increase the number of pages. More pages will allow us to
cover more subjects. We would like to give more space to boardgames, to plastic, and we may even open our pages to “non-historical” gaming like all the other wargames magazines have.
We are aware that, for many wargamers, there is a frontier that
cannot be crossed between “historical” and “non-historical”
wargaming, a genre that is often mistakenly identified with only
fantasy, or even with one specific sort of fantasy produced by
one well-known company. But you can use your miniatures to
play countless genres and settings: the near-future, science-fiction, the mythological age, horror, western, pulp and even “civil”
simulations with firemen or similar...
We’ve got lots of ideas and we are sure that you have too... so let’s not keep them hidden away!
