Die Grazer Rathausfassade verwandelt sich allabendlich in einen überdimensionalen Adventkalender. Each night, the Town Hall turns into a giant advent
calendar. Tutte le sere la facciata del municipio si trasforma in un calendario
d’Avvento sovradimensionale.

In den letzten Jahren war das monumentale Eiskunstwerk im Grazer Landhaushof ein echter Publikumsmagnet. Auch in diesem Jahr wird der bekannte
Eiskünstler Gert J. Hödl mit seinem internationalen Eisschnitzer-Team im Advent
eine Weihnachtskrippe aus Eis in den Landhaushof zaubern. Die Eiskrippe aus
rund 50 Tonnen kristallklarem Eis wird zweifellos auch in diesem Jahr wieder ein
einzigartiges – wenn auch vergängliches – Kunstwerk sein.

In the past few years the monumental ice sculptures in the Landhaushof in Graz
have become a real magnet for both visitors and local residents. As in past years,
the well-known ice sculptor Gert J. Hödl and his international ice sculpting team
will once again create a magical Christmas manger made of ice in the Landhaushof this Advent. The nativity scene, made with about 50 tons of crystal-clear ice,
is sure to be an amazing – even though transitory – work of art this year as well.

La monumentale meraviglia di ghiaccio nel cortile del Landhaus di Graz è divenuta
negli ultimi anni un’attrazione davvero speciale per visitatori e locali. Anche per
questo avvento, come per gli anni scorsi, l’ormai conosciuto scultore di ghiaccio Gert
J. Hödl con il suo internazionale team creerà il presepe di natale di ghiaccio come di
consueto nello stupendo scenario del cortile rinascimentale del parlamento. Il presepe
di circa 50 tonnellate di puro ghiaccio cristallino, sarà anche quest’anno un capolavoro unico – anche se di poca durata…

Vor dem Grazer Rathaus entsteht in der Vorweihnachtszeit ein kleiner Dorfplatz, der
für jeden Geschmack etwas zu bieten hat: traditionelles Kunsthandwerk und Köstlichkeiten für Leib und Seele wetteifern um die Gunst der Besucher. Ein Pavillion hält
sein schützendes Dach über Veranstaltungen und Auftritte. Das Kinderkarusell als lieb
gewordene Tradition ist ebenso dabei, wie die Feuerzangenbowle.
During Advent, the main square in front of the town hall turns into a village square
with something for every taste – traditional arts and crafts compete with treats for
body and soul for the visitors’ attention. Thanks to a covered pavilion, events and performances can take place regardless of the weather. There are still the popular features
from previous years, such as the children’s merry-go-round, not to mention the Feuerzangenbowle, the legendary flaming spiced wine with rum.
Nel periodo prenatalizio appare davanti al municipio di Graz un paesello che propone idee
e soluzioni originali per gli acquisti natalizi: artigianato artistico tradizionale e prelibatezze

Rund um die Franziskanerkirche gruppiert sich der älteste Weihnachtsmarkt von Graz.
Steirisches Kunsthandwerk, Produkte aus bäuerlicher Produktion sowie Punsch und
Glühwein erwärmen die Herzen der neugierigen Besucher. Am Eingang zur Kirche
zaubert ein Paradies mit Karussell, Spielwaren und Krippe mit echten Schafen ein
Leuchten in die Kinderaugen. Wer weiter durch die Altstadt bummeln will, kann hier
den Adventszug besteigen. Kinderbetreuung!
The oldest Christmas market in Graz takes place around the Franciscan church. Styrian arts and crafts, regional farm products, hot punch and mulled wine warm the
hearts of curious visitors. Near the church entrance, a children’s paradise with merrygo-round, toy stands and a live crib enchant the little ones. Those who would like to

Liedersuchdienst. Texte und Notenblätter werden von hier in alle Welt versandt.
