the same time, always at ModenaFiere, a“Mercatino vendo-scambio (sell and exchange
market)” will be held, where collectors and buyers can get deals in an area dedicated to
them.
Inside the Motor Gallery, you can also admire the great exhibition "SS9, Via Emilia, la
Strada dei Motori" dedicated to Emilia Romagna Motor Valley. A 1500 sqm long gallery leads
us into a journey, with the finest cars and motorcycles made in Emilia Romagna, on
display for the first time ever. The exhibition includes Allkart karts from Piacenza, with
which drivers such as Jacques Villeneuve and Jarno Trulli grappled, specimens from the
Francesco Baratta Museum in Ravenna, Dallara in Parma, the Sarsaparilla Collection of
motorcylcles and the pre-war Auto Museum of San Martino in Rio di Reggio Emilia. And again
motorcycles from the collections of Battilani, Morini, Lamborghini Museum, Ducati of Bologna,
Officine Ferraresi, Santa Monica Speedway, Bimota and the Abarth Collection from the
provinces of Forli, Cesena and Rimini. But also videos, blow-ups and Modena, with the Enzo
Ferrari Birthplace Museum and the Maranello Ferrari Museum, and names such as Maserati, De
Tomaso, Pagani, Bugatti, and many, many more.
And then two largeside by side exhibitionswith pieces that made Italian car history: sports
cars (Barchetta cars (open two-seaters)under the supervision of Romano Pasiniand rally
cars, selected by Sergio Lelli from the Biella Club.
Among the first, a rich representation of prestigious and rare Italian sports cars (Barchette)
from the 1950s: in addition to the famous Ferrari, also Maserati and Osca cars, a series of
small Barchette (many of them only 750cc). Among the Rally cars, driven by the greatest
drivers of all times, a 70hp Autobianchi A112 Abarth 1st Series, a Lancia Fulvia Hf 1600
Fanalone, a Lancia Stratos Gr.4, a Lancia Delta Safari, a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth Gr.4 which
formerly belonged to Jean Todt, a Fiat Uno Turbo owned by Ari Vataven, and a Ferrari 308
Gr.4 are proudly on display and scrupulously presented in vintage racing car liveries.
But also an exhibition of Cinquecento (Fiat 500), many other prestige cars, Alfa Romeo
History Museum in Arese, the Fiat Register in Turin, Best Auto and the "Instant Classic"
space: in the Central Gallery you can find car and motorcycle models that, although they have
only recently been put into production, are the main focus of attention for collectors.
And also a fashion show with vintage clothes: models parading around other top models, the
gorgeous vintage cars on show; not to mention the children dedicated area, with "child
sized" cars and motorcycles.
And for those who want to satisfy their desire for speed, at the entrance to the ModenaFiere
halls, some Ferrari cars offer enthusiasts the opportunity of a ride in one of their fireballs in
total safety in the Marzaglia track.
"Motor Gallery" can be held thanks to the major support of the Modena Chamber of
Commerce and Promec, which is organizing the promotion of the event in the international
arena. Attendance of fairs abroad has already been foreseen for Salon Retromobile in Paris,
Retro Classics in Stuttgart, Motor Sports Expo in Brno, in addition to a number of Italian
events including Milan AutoClassica and Turin Automotoretrò. Moreover, "Motor Gallery" will be
present with a dedicated stand at the Avignon Motor Festival and at Techno Classica in Essen,
thus taking the opportunity to promote itself and, jointly with Emilia Romagna APT, to
promote tourist packages designed to disseminate information about our motorsport heritage
and MEF abroad.
The exchange exhibition also aims to promote not only the entire automotive supply chain,
from panel beaters to spray painters, but also the small specialized artisan businesses in the
Modena area, as well as the typical products of our land.
The event is part of the fourteenth edition of "Modena Terra di Motori", the most important
Italian car event "en plein air" in Modena, which is being held from March 23 to June June
9: a series of exhibitions and initiatives in the historic centre squares, culminating on
Saturday, June 8, with Notte dei Motori (Night of Motors), and on Sunday, June 9, with
Memorial Banca Popolare of Emilia Romagna, with regularity races on a stretch of the track
that once was Modena historic circuit. In addition, the Enzo Ferrari Birthplace Museum is the
location of a section of the exhibition, supporting the event promotion. Discounts and special
offers will be also available on the price of tickets if both the MEF and the "Motor Gallery" are
visited.
Free shuttle buses are also available from ModenaFiere to MEF. Finally, the checkout counters
of E. Leclerc Conad Supermarkets and Hypermarkets in Modena, Bologna and provincial areas
of these cities offer the possibility of purchasing discounted entrance tickets.
