storia DELL’AZIENDA
Fondata nel 1974, col nome di Appaloosa, nasce dalla passione della famiglia
Stocchetti-Rasia per il mondo dell’equitazione e per tutto ciò che intorno ad essa
si muove: ponendo particolare attenzione alle caratteristiche morfologiche delle
diverse razze equine ed alle esigenze di comodità e di equilibrio dei cavalieri.
Con il tempo le conoscenze tecniche si arricchiscono assorbendo in Germania,
in Inghilterra ed in Svizzera le tradizioni più antiche dell’arte della fabbricazione
delle selle. Nasce da qui l’intuizione che la sella, principale mezzo di contatto
tra cavallo e cavaliere, sia lo strumento migliore per soddisfare le necessità e le
esigenze di entrambi; l’idea che la sella debba crescere attorno ad un telaio di
nuova concezione, dotato della più ampia flessibilità, concepito per distribuire
uniformemente il peso del cavaliere sul dorso del cavallo e adattabile alle diverse
morfologie, questa idea diventa un business.
Le conoscenze acquisite e sperimentate, grazie anche all’apporto di un team di
professionisti e di appassionati del settore, vengono applicate sui migliori pellami
italiani accompagnate da un’accurata lavorazione artigianale; è questo il biglietto

L’azienda, che intanto cambia nome per diventare Prestige Italia SpA risponde
alla crescita del suo posizionamento nel mercato adeguando le proprie strutture
amministrative e commerciali, che vengono trasferite dalla storica sede di
Quargnenta alla nuova struttura di Trissino, senza comunque mai tradire quelle
caratteristiche di avanguardia del settore e di qualità produttiva, che sono il suo
vanto principale.
Un successo Made in Italy testimoniato ogni giorno dai grandi campioni
dell’equitazione che da sempre scelgono la precisione e la tecnica delle selle

Histoire de l’entreprise
La société, avec le nom Appaloosa, est née en 1974 de la passion que la famille
Stocchetti-Rasia nourrissait pour le monde de l’équitation et tout ce qui gravite
autour, en prêtant une attention particulière aux caractéristiques morphologiques
des différentes races de chevaux et aux exigences de confort et d’équilibre des
cavaliers. Avec le temps, les connaissances techniques s’enrichissent grâce à
l’assimilation des traditions les plus anciennes développées par les Allemands, les
Anglais et les Suisses dans l’art de fabriquer les selles.
Il en découle que l’on comprend que, étant donné que la selle est le principal
moyen de contact entre le cheval et le cavalier, elle constitue le meilleur instrument
pour répondre aux besoins et aux exigences de l’un comme de l’autre. De même,
on transforme en une affaire commerciale l’idée que la selle doit se développer
autour d’un nouveau type d’arçon présentant une plus grande souplesse, conçu
pour distribuer de façon uniforme le poids du cavalier sur le dos du cheval et
sachant s’adapter à ses différentes morphologies.
Les connaissances acquises et expérimentées, également grâce à l’apport d’une
équipe de professionnels et de passionnés de l’équitation, sont appliquées sur
les meilleurs cuirs d’Italie avec un travail artisanal soigné. Tel est la carte de visite
avec laquelle l’entreprise se présente aux marchés internationaux. Sa première
selle s’appelle Prestige. Sur ces entrefaites, l’entreprise change de nom et devient
Prestige Italia spa pour mieux répondre à l’amélioration de son positionnement
sur le marché, en adaptant en conséquence ses structures administratives et
commerciales qui sont transférées du siège historique de Quargnenta au nouveau
établissement de Trissino, sans toutefois jamais trahir les caractéristiques d’avantgarde du secteur et de qualité de production qui sont sa plus grande fierté.
Un succès italien témoigné chaque jour par les grands champions de l’équitation
qui, depuis toujours, choisissent la précision et la technique des selles Prestige.
Geschichte des Unternehmens
Das Unternehmen wurde im Jahr 1974 unter dem Namen Appaloosa von der
Familie Stochetti-Rasia gegründet, die begeisterte Liebhaber all dessen waren,
was auch nur im Entferntesten mit der Welt der Pferde zu tun hatte. Ihr besonderes
Interesse galt dabei dem Körperbau der verschiedenen Pferderassen sowie dem
Komfort und dem Gleichgewicht des Reiters. Im Laufe der Zeit sammelt das
Unternehmen technisches Knowhow und übernimmt aus Deutschland, England
und der Schweiz die bewährtesten Traditionen der Sattlerei. Daraus erwächst die
Erkenntnis, dass der Sattel der wichtigste Berührungspunkt zwischen Pferd und
Reiter ist und deshalb eben dort angesetzt werden muss, um den Anforderungen
beider bestmöglich gerecht zu werden. Der Sattel muss sich um einen neu
konzipierten Sattelbaum herum entwickeln, der flexibel und so gestaltet sein muss,
dass sich das Gewicht des Reiters gleichmäßig auf dem Pferderücken verteilt und
er sich an den Körperbau eines jeden Pferdes anpasst. Und dieser Gedanke wurde
zum Grundsatz. Neben ihrem Knowhow, das auch dank der Mitarbeit eines Teams
von Fachkräften und Liebhabern der Branche gesammelt und erprobt werden
konnte, setzt das Unternehmen nur die besten Ledersorten aus ganz Italien ein,
die kunstgerecht verarbeitet werden. Und dies ist die Visitenkarte, mit der sich das
Unternehmen auf dem Weltmarkt vorstellt. Sein erster Sattel trägt den Namen
Prestige. Das Unternehmen, das inzwischen seinen Namen geändert hat und nun
Prestige Italia Spa heißt, erfreut sich zunehmenden Erfolges auf dem Markt und
weitet dementsprechend seine Verwaltungs- und Vertriebsstrukturen aus, die vom
bisherigen Sitz in Quargnenta in ein neues Gebäude in Trissino verlegt werden.
Unverändert bleiben der innovative Geist und die Produktqualität, die das Prestige
des Unternehmens ausmachen. Ein Erfolg des „Made in Italy“, der von den großen
Meistern des Reitsports, die auf die Präzision und die Technik der Sättel von
Prestige vertrauen, bestätigt wird.
history of the business
Founded in 1974 with the name of Appaloosa, the business was started through
the innovation of the Stocchetti-Rasia family and their passion for horse riding
and everything to do with it. Particular importance was laid on the morphological
features of the different equine breed and on the needs of riders for comfort and
balance.
Over time the business aquired greater technical knowledge as from Germany,
England and Switzerland, it assimilated their longlasting traditions in saddle-making.
The conclusion was the idea that saddles being the main means of securing
contact between horse and rider, are also the best solution for satisfying the needs
of both. An idea – that the saddle must be developed around a tree of new design,
characterised by the utmost flexibility, intended to distribute the weight of the rider
uniformly over the horse’s back, and able to adapt to different morphologies – was
transformed into a business.
The knowledge gained from testing in partnership with a team of riding
professionals and enthusiasts – was harnessed in the highest-quality hides in
Italy and backed up by thorough craftmanship. There were the credentials of the
businesses when it made its debut on world markets. Aptly, the name of its first
saddle was Prestige.
The business, which in the meantime had changed its name to Prestige Italia SpA,
responded to the growth fuelled by its market positioning with changes to its
administration and sales. Their relocation, from Quargnenta, where the business
began, to new premises at Trissino, was carried through without ever compromising
on its leading-edge status in the sector and its manufacturing quality, which are its
strongest features. The business is a “Made in Italy” success story, as confirmed by
the major horse-riding champions who always opt for the precision and technique
of Prestige saddles.

un sottopancia da salto oppure da
dressage appositamente modificati.
I vantaggi sono i seguenti: annulla
quasi tutti i movimenti laterali poiché
il sottopancia scivola all’interno della
speciale pettorina; la pressione è
distribuita in maniera uniforme su una
superficie più ampia; la speciale forma
della pettorina, caratterizzata da un
profilo bombato circolare all’esterno
e da 3 inserti ovali all’interno, tutti
realizzati in un materiale estremamente
morbido, crea un cuscinetto d’aria per
diminuire ulteriormente la pressione.

Rahmenkonstruktion, auf der Gurtplatte,
