Nino Ucchino nasce in Sicilia nel 1952. Dall’età di otto anni
lavora come allievo nello studio del pittore Silvio Timpanaro. Da
14 a 21 anni studia all’ Istituto Statale d’arte di Messina e poi per
alcuni anni alla Facoltà di architettura di Reggio Calabria.
A 22 anni Nino Ucchino vive già a Milano dove espone le sue
prime opere pittoriche. Qui diventa allievo del pittore Luca
Crippa e resta nello studio di Via Brera per quattro anni. In
questi anni Ucchino allestisce tante mostre sia in città ma a in
tutta la Lombardia.
A Roma incontra il Professore Giulio Carlo Argan attraverso il
quale ha un grande supporto culturale e anche la possibilità di
organizzare delle mostre nella stessa città. Successivamente il
Professore Giovanni Carandente, che particolarmente
impressionato dalla sua produzione grafica, lo presenta in due
importanti mostre personali, in Germania e a Pesaro.
Da 1985 fino a oggi Nino Ucchino ha esposto in tante Gallerie all’
estero quali: Svizzera, Francia, Germania, Polonia, Stati Uniti
(New York, Miami), Canada (Toronto), Cina (Pekino) etc.
Le sue sculture in acciaio si trovano in spazi pubblici in Sicilia e a
Roma.
Dal 2006 lavora insieme alla Galleria Benucci di Roma.
Le ultime mostre importanti: 2006 Vittoriano (Museo di arte
moderna) Roma, presentata dal Prof. Francesco Gallo e Prof.
Claudio Strinati.
Pasqua 2008 Galleria Benucci Roma.

Nino Ucchino per scelta intellettuale e umana vive e produce prevalentemente nei suoi luoghi di origine, tra
Santa Teresa di Riva e Savoca. Per lui il mondo, per quanto vasto e infinito, si concentra in un luogo che
diviene linfa e motivazione profonda della sua ricerca.
Nino Ucchino was born in Sicily in 1952. From the age of eight years working as an
assistant in the studio of painter Silvio Timpanaro. Between 14 and 21 years studying at
the “Istituto Statale d'arte di Messina” and then for several years at the Faculty of
Architecture of Reggio Calabria.
At the 22 years Nino Ucchino already lives in Milan, where he exhibited his first paintings.
Here is a pupil of the painter Luca Crippa and remains in the study of Via Brera for four
years.
In recent years Ucchino arranged many exhibitions both in the city but throughout the
Sydney ain.
In Rome meets Professor Giulio Carlo Argan through which support has a great cultural

Nino Ucchino choice for intellectual and human lives and produces in its place of origin,
between Santa Teresa di Riva and Savoca. For him the world, as vast and infinite, we find
a place that becomes sap motivation and deep in his research.
