Ventinove aprile duemilasedici: una serata unica – one night, one shot – all’insegna della
musica d’eccellenza proveniente dall’Estremo Oriente. Il palco della Far East Night, quest’anno
ospitato al padiglione 9 della Fiera di Udine, punterà i suoi riflettori su Satoshi Tomiie, pioniere
indiscusso della musica house. Nato in Giappone, ma con base a New York e Parigi, Satoshi è
attivo già dagli anni ‘80, quando esordisce con “Tears”, traccia fondamentale del genere house
concepito assieme alla leggenda Frankie Knuckles.

Ancora oggi è un DJ, remixer e produttore molto attivo che ha da poco lanciato un nuovo
album e una nuova etichetta. Nella sua acclamata e straordinaria carriera, Satoshi ha posto le
pietre miliari di artisti del calibro di Robert Owens, ha stampato su etichette leggendarie come la
Strictly Rhythm & FFRR, ha mixato le compilation Renaissance ed ha suonato nei migliori Club
e Festival del pianeta. Nel 2015 produce l’album “New Day” che non rappresenta soltanto una
raccolta di singoli ma piuttosto un viaggio musicale coinvolgente che tocca molti stili, suoni dal
profondo e canzoni strumentali a risonanza emotiva. Questo album è la prima release nella sua
nuova etichetta Abstract Architecture (la seconda dopo l’influente SAW.RECORDINGS).

Twenty-ninth april 2016: a single evening – one night, one shot – dedicated to Far Eastern
excellence music. The Far East Night stage, located this year in pavillion 9 of Fiera di Udine, will
turn up the lights on Satoshi Tomiie, undiscussed pioneer of house music. Born in Japan, based
in New York and Paris, Satoshi drives forces since the late 80s, when he debuted with “Tears”,
essential track of the house genre, conceived with the legend Frankie Knuckles.
DJ, producer and remixer is as active as ever as he launches a new label and album. In his
acclaimed and extraordinary career, Satoshi has set the corner stone of careers of artists like
Robert Owens, recorded for labels like Strictly Rhythm & FFRR, mixed the Renaissance
compilations and played in every major club and festival around the globe. In 2015 he produced
his new album “New Day” that is not just a collection of singles, but rather an immersive musical
journey that touches many styles, deep sounds and instrumental songs with emotional
resonance. This album is the first release of his brand new label Abstract Architecture (second
only to the influential SAW.RECORDINGS).

Post-everything music dj set
Coinvolto in progetti musicali come produttore e performer dalla fine degli anni ‘80 propone una
selezione musicale dove ritmi gommosi dell’era analogica si alternano con l’intelligent dance
music dell’era digitale. Dalla mutant disco alla micro wave per celebrare l’era del “dopo-tutto” e
immaginare il futuro.
Involved in musical projects as a producer and performer since the end of the eighties, he plays
a selection where rubber rhythms from the analog days alternate with intelligent dance music
from the digital age. From mutant disco to micro wave to celebrate the “post-everything age”
and project the future.
