A future for Amatrice
•
With the initiative ‘Un futuro per Amatrice’ we ask restaurants to insert into
the menu the dish ‘Amatriciana’ and to keep it there for at least one year.
For each consumed dish of Amatriciana, 2 euros will be donated: one by
the restaurant and one by the client. The collected funds will be given
directly to the municipality of Amatrice.

“All over the world, through this symbolic dish from Amatrice, we hope to
spread the values of solidarity and sharing the fundamental features of
the community culture from which this typical dish comes from.” Carlo
Petrini, president of ‘Terra Madre’ and ‘Slow Food’, starts the solidarity
campaign to sustain the citizens hit by the tragedy of the earthquake.

“We also ask all the Italian restaurants worldwide to support and adhere
to the initiative. In this way we hope to go beyond the emotional wave of
the moment. We have to start the reconstruction immediately. The funds
collected must be durable to help people, who have suffered in the
earthquake, starting their normal life again.”

«In tutto il mondo, attraverso questo piatto simbolo della storia
gastronomica di Amatrice, speriamo di poter diffondere anche i valori di
solidarietà e condivisione propri della cultura contadina da cui nasce».
Carlo Petrini, presidente di Terra Madre e Slow Food, avvia
unacampagna di solidarietà per sostenere le popolazioni colpite dal
terremoto e pensare già da oggi al loro futuro.
Aderiamo alle iniziative spontanee nate in queste ore in Italia e rilanciamo
«chiamando in causa i ristoratori di tutto il mondo per un anno intero.
Speriamo in questo modo che l’attenzione non svanisca e vada oltre
l’onda emotiva del momento: superiamo l’emergenza e iniziamo già da
oggi la ricostruzione. Chi ha vissuto questo dramma deve poter ritrovare
la normalità il prima possibile, i fondi destinati devono essere durevoli e la
raccolta costante».
Con Unfuturo per Amatrice (#unfuturoperamatrice) chiediamo ai
ristoratori di tutto il mondo di inserire in carta il piatto simbolo della città
colpita e di tenerlo per almeno un anno. E ai clienti chiediamo di
sceglierlo. Per ogni amatriciana consumata verranno devoluti due euro,
uno donato dal ristoratore, uno dal cliente. I fondi raccolti
sarannodirettamente versati al Comune di Amatrice.

Forgiatura Morandini Srl is a modern Italian forging company, located in the north of Italy. We have had a significant presence
in this market place since 1970, and due to the our ISO qualifications, other accreditations, our ability to meet customer
performance specifications and delivery, we have become well-known worldwide.
With four (5) working open die forging presses (one 16000T one 7000T, two 3000T and one 1000T), we are able to offer a
wide range of open die forgings starting from kg 200 up to kg 150000, forging weight; with a yearly capacity of 75000
Tons. These forgings are the highest quality and vary from steel grades such as: carbon steels, low, high and titanium alloy
steels, as well as stainless and tool steels up to F91, F92, Inconel, Duplex and Super Duplex.
Moreover, we have a brand new ring rolling machine which enables us to ring roll pieces (rings and shells) with a
diameter up to mm.8000, with a maximum height of mm.4000 and a weight of kg 150000.
Of course, we have our own in house heat treatment equipment that supports our needs in terms of quality heat treatment and
stress relieving. At the same time, we have our in house machining facilities that are able to support the parts we forge and heat
treat, with a rough and/or finish machining according to customer specifications and requirements.
Forgiatura Morandini Srl is RINA ISO 9001:2008 qualified since 1992. Through our work in different fields of application, we
have acquired certifications such as: BV, TÜV, TÜV PED, DNV, GL, LLRS.
Furthermore, supplying parts for the nuclear sector, we obtained the accreditation ASME Abs. III Part 1 and 3, NCA/WA-3800
and NNSA (HAF604).
And Forgiatura Morandini Srl has achieved the NORSOK qualification. This qualification is according to NORSOK M-650 Rev.
4 for both steel grades: ASTM A182 Gr. F51 & ASTM A182 Gr. F53. The inspection body supporting us getting the qualification
is DNV – Det Norske Veritas.

SME Technology Fair
• The Small and Medium Enterprises Development
Authority (SMEDA) is a public entity of Mauritius
that organizes the SME Technology Fair.
• The Government of Mauritius will reimburse some
expenses among the others: expenses for
overnight stay and for the exhibition stand.

New tax amnesty
programme
• We would like to draw your interest to the new tax amnesty
programme, which SARS together with the SA reserve bank
has released. It will allow tax payers with undisclosed assets
abroad to come off relatively lightly – if they declare between
October 2016 and March 2017.
• Though it is a sensitive issue, we think this could be very
interesting and important for many members of the
chamber.A seminar will be hosted by Mr D Skalet, a
consulting expert in international tax law of Rödl & Partner,
Johannesburg. The session will focus on the most important
aspects of the new tax Special Voluntary Disclosure
programme of SARS and the SA Reserve Bank. The tax
amnesty will come into effect on 1 October 2016 and ends
on 31 March 2017, therefore tax relief can only be sought
within this time frame. Furthermore the seminar will shed
light on the tax system in South Africa. For more information

• Marion Garassino is an Opera singer who sings
also outside the Opera theatres and she recorded
and released the album “Mamma” who inspired
her to sing.
