Perchè MWR Generators
Why MWR Generators
MWR Italia nasce nel 1996 con l’obiettivo di produrre
macchine elettriche ed elettroniche atte alla gestione
di impianti di pompaggio.
MWR Italia was born in 1996 with the aim to produce
electromechanical and electrical devices adapted for
pumping systems.
L’innovazione e la tecnologia produttiva adottata
hanno determinato ben presto interesse sia in ambito
nazionale che internazionale guadagnando importanti
posizioni sul mercato.
Nel 2004 si allargano gli orizzonti e viene consolidato
il progetto MWR Generators: un nuovo marchio nella
progettazione e costruzione di gruppi elettrogeni ad
uso civile e industriale.
The innovative and productive technology adopted
has very soon determined interest in the national and
international sphere earning important positions in the
brisk market.
In 2004 new horizons opened up and the project
MWR Generators was realized: a new mark in the
planning and construction of generator sets for civil
and industrial applications.

Definizione delle Potenze (ISO 8528, ISO 3046)
Prime Power (PRP) (di seguito come potenza continua CONT)
è la potenza massima disponibile per un ciclo a potenza variabile che può avvenire per un numero illimitato
di ore per anno, tra gli intervalli di manutenzione prescritti. La potenza media prelevabile durante un periodo
di 24 ore non deve superare una percentuale dell’80% della PRP. 10% di sovraccarico ammesso solo per la
regolazione.
Limited time running power (LTP) (di seguito come potenza continua CONT)
è la potenza massima che il gruppo può erogare fino ad un Massimo di 500 ore per anno di cui un massimo di
300 ore di funzionamento continuo tra gli intervalli di manutenzione.
E accettato che il funzionamento a questa potenza condizioni la vita del motore.
10% di sovraccarico ammesso solo per la regolazione.
Come scegliere un gruppo elettrogeno
Prima di scegliere un gruppo elettrogeno bisogna identificare il tipo di carico che gli verrà applicato: nel caso di
carichi resistivi basta considerare i watt resi del gruppo. Es: 5000va = 4000w
Nel caso di motori elettrici o elettropompe o altri carichi induttivi si deve tenere conto della corrente di avviamento.
Per semplificare abbiamo creato una semplice regola con un fattore di conversione K.
Gruppo elettrogeno
Carico valore in kW k= 3
Moltiplicando quindi il valore k per il valore di targa del carico si avrà il valore in Kva, basterà scegliere il valore
superiore o uguale al risultato.
Esempio elettropompa 1,1 kw (1,5 HP)
1,1 X 3= 3,3 (quindi 4,2 KVA)
Potenza e declassamento
Il valore di potenza indicato è il massimo disponibile per un ciclo di potenza variabile (PRP Prime Power) ISO
Standard 8528.1 ed è garantito con una tolleranza di +/- 5%, a motore rodato.
Questo valore si riduce del 1% ogni 100 mt. di altitudine, del 2% ogni 5° C al di sopra dei 20° C e del 10% per
un utilizzo continuativo a carico costante (COP Continuous Power) ISO Standard 8528.1
Potenza acustica (LwA)
Il livello di potenza acustica (LwA) identifica il livello della rumorosità come richiesto dalle normative Europee.
Nello specifico rappresenta la quantità di energia acustica emessa nell’unità di tempo indipendentemente dalla
distanza dal punto di misurazione. L’unità di misura è il dB(A).
Pressione acustica (LP)
Indica la misura della pressione causata dall’emissione di onde sonore, rilevata ad una determinata distanza
dalla sorgente di rumore ed anch’esso è espresso in dBA.
Lp a 1 mt = LwA – 8 dB

Rating Definitions (ISO 8528, ISO 3046)
Prime Power (PRP)
Prime Power is the maximum power available during a variable power sequence, which may be run for an
unlimited number of hours per year, between stated maintence intervals.
The permissible average power output during a 24 hour period shall not exceed 80% of the prime power. 10 %
overload available for governing purpose only.
Limited time running power (LTP)
The limited time running power is the maximum power a generating set is capable of delivering for up to
500h per year of which a maximum of 300h is continuous running, between stated maintence intervals. It
is accepted that operation at this rating will affect the life of the set. 10% overload available for governing
purpose only.
How to choose a generating sets
First check the kind of load that will be used: in case of resistive load, consider the watt of the group.
Ex.: 5000VA = 4000W
In case of electric motor or electric pumps or other inductive loads, consider the starting current. To make it
simple, we have created a simple rule with a factor of conversion K.
Generating sets
Load in kW k=3
Multiplying k for the rating value of the load you obtain the value in Kva, then choose the value higher or equal to the
result.
Example: electric pump 1,1 kW (1,5 HP)
1,1 x 3 = 3,3 (thus 4,2 KVA)
Power and derrating
The value of power indicated is the maximum available for a variable cycle of power (PRP Prime Power) ISO
standard 8528.1 and is guaranteed with a tolerance of +/- 5%, at run in engine.
This number is reduced of 1% every 100 metre of altitude, of 2% every 5° C over 20° C and of 10% for a
continuous usage with a constant load (COP Continuous Power) ISO Standard 8528.1.
Noise level power (LwA)
The noise level power (LwA) identifies the noise level according to European norms. Specifically it represents
the quantity of noise energy emitted in the unit time independently of the distance of the measuring point. The
unti measure is the dB(A).
Noise pressure (LP)
Indicates the measurement of noise pressure caused by the emission of sonar waves, revealed at a certain
distance from the noise source. The noise pressure value varies in according to the distance from the noise
source which is also expressed in dBA.

Serie di gruppi elettrogeni silenziati 1500 g/min raffreddati ad acqua con
potenze da 10 a 250 KVA
I generatori MISTRAL sono robusti e sicuri, montati su telaio autoportante in
acciaio pressopiegato. Sono dotati di bacino di raccolta liquidi a prevenzione di
fuoriuscite inquinanti per l’ambiente, completi di supporti per un facile spostamento
con carrello elevatore e dotati di punti di ancoraggio a terra.
Ampi sportelli e pannelli removibili consentono un facile accesso a tutte le parti del
generatore.

The generators MISTRAL are sturdy and safe, mounted on self-supporting frame
in rebated steel. They are complete with: catch basin for prevention of polluting
leakages, mountings for easy moving with fork-lift trucks, and anchor points.
Wide doors and removable panels allow an easy access to the internal parts of
the generator.

I generatori MISTRAL sono apparecchi semplici
e sicuri. Una robusta base d’appoggio in lamiera
è provvista di 2 alloggiamenti per il trasporto con
carrello elevatore ed il fissaggio a terra.
Il quadro elettrico è montato internamente alla
cofanatura e protetto da uno sportello con oblò
trasparente munito di serratura a chiave. Il
bocchettone per il carburante è interno, chiuso da
uno sportello con serratura a chiave.
I generatori MISTRAL sono alimentati da motori
compatti, affidabili e potenti, a bassi cicli di
manutenzione per ridurre al minimo i costi di
gestione.

Serie MISTRAL BASE
Serie di gruppi elettrogeni su base aperta 1500 g/min raffreddati ad acqua
con potenze da 10 a 250 KVA.
I generatori MISTRAL BASE sono robusti e sicuri, montati su telaio autoportante
in acciaio pressopiegato. Sono dotati di bacino di raccolta liquidi a prevenzione di
fuoriuscite inquinanti per l’ambiente, completi di supporti per un facile spostamento
con carrello elevatore e dotati di punti di ancoraggio a terra.
Series of open generating sets 1500 rpm water cooled with powers from 10
to 250 KVA.
The generators MISTRAL BASE are sturdy and safe, mounted on self-supporting
frame in rebated steel. They are complete with: catch basin for prevention of
polluting leakages, mountings for easy moving with fork-lift trucks, and anchor
points.

Serie ARGO
Serie di gruppi elettrogeni silenziati (ARGO) o aperti (ARGO BASE) 3000 g/min raffreddati
ad acqua con potenze da 10 a 25 KVA.
I generatori ARGO sono robusti e sicuri, montati su telaio autoportante in acciaio pressopiegato.
Sono dotati di bacino di raccolta liquidi a prevenzione di fuoriuscite inquinanti per l’ambiente,
completi di supporti per un facile spostamento con carrello elevatore e dotati di punti di ancoraggio
a terra. Ampi sportelli e pannelli removibili nella versione silenziata consentono un facile accesso
a tutte le parti del generatore.
Series of silenced (ARGO) or open (ARGO BASE) generating sets 3000 rpm water cooled
with powers from 10 to 25 KVA.
The generators ARGO are sturdy and safe, mounted on self-supporting frame in rebated steel.
They are complete with: catch basin for prevention of polluting leakages, mountings for easy
moving with fork-lift trucks, and anchor points.
Wide doors and removable panels in the silenced model allow an easy access to the internal
parts of the generator.

I gruppi elettrogeni URBAN sono disponibili in versione monofase e trifase con potenze da
4 a 20 KVA. La cofanatura con ampie porte ne facilita la manutenzione, e un alto grado di
insonorizzazione in dimensioni contenute ne fanno i generatori adatti ad un utilizzo in piccoli
spazi.
Ideali per l’impiego come antiblack-out poiché sono tutti predisposti per il quadro elettrico di
intervento automatico.

Serie di gruppi elettrogeni con motore diesel o benzina su base aperta, 3000 g/min raffreddati
ad aria.
Disponibili nelle versioni con avviamento autoavvolgente, elettrico, ed elettrico con predisposizione per il collegamento del quadro di intervento automatico. La robustezza di questi generatori di
corrente li rende adatti a lavorare in condizioni difficili, mentre la loro progettazione soddisfa anche
le richieste di utilizzatori professionali. La posizione frontale inclinata del quadro elettrico migliora
l’ergonomia del gruppo, e viene equipaggiato di serie con interruttore magnetotermico, interruttore
differenziale, voltmetro e due prese CEE.

L’utilizzo di tecnologie di ultima generazione sia in campo motoristico che
elettrico/elettronico, ha permesso di realizzare queste macchine con pesi

COMMANDER
Quadro di controllo e protezione con commutazione automatica.
Il quadro COMMANDER per l’avviamento dei gruppi elettrogeni benzina o diesel è
gestito da una logica elettronica a microprocessore.
The COMMANDER panel to start the Diesel-electric or petrol-electric
generating sets is managed by electronic microprocessor logic.

Al mancare della tensione di rete, COMMANDER provvede ad avviare
il motore ed a commutare l’utenza da rete a generatore. Al ritorno della
rete, prima commuta l’utenza da generatore a rete e poi arresta il motore.
A motore avviato, COMMANDER protegge il generatore da eventuali
anomalie arrestando il motore con segnalazione visiva della causa e
cicalina di allarme. La logica COMMANDER dispone di sette ingressi e
sei uscite.
INGRESSI:
Misura tensione di rete (monofase), misura tensione di gruppo
(monofase), misura tensione generatore c.c. (dinamo), Bassa
pressione olio, Alta temperatura motore, Riserva carburante e contatto di
consenso all’avviamento.
USCITE:
Comando contattore rete, Comando contattore gruppo, Chiave
(alimentazione ausiliari gruppo), Avviamento, Stop, Starter (versione
benzina) o Preriscaldo candelette (versione diesel). I comandi sul fronte
della centralina comprendono il tasti di selezione di funzionamento AUTO
(automatico) e MAN (manuale).
I tasti START e STOP per l’avviamento e l’arresto manuale del motore,
il tasto per il comando dei contattori, il tasto SHIFT per scorrere la
visualizzazione sul display di: contaore, volt generatore, Hz generatore
e volt batteria ed infine RESET per la tacitazione della sirena e per lo
spegnimento dei led di allarme.
In case of a blackout Commander starts the engine and switches the
user point to the generator.
When the main power returns, the panel switches the user point from
the generator to the mains and then stops the motor. When the engine is
operating, COMMANDER protects the generator from any malfunctions
by stopping the engine and giving a visual signal of the cause and
sounding an alarm buzzer.
The COMMANDER unit has seven inputs and six outputs.
INPUTS:
Measurement of main voltage, generator voltage, generator d.c. voltage
(dynamo), oil low pressure, high temperature of the motor, low fuel and
starting contact.
OUTPUTS:
Control of mains contactor, generator contactor, Key (to power the
generator’s auxiliary circuits), Start, Stop, Starter (gasoline version) or
Glow Plug Preheating (Diesel version).
The commands on the front of the control unit include the function mode
selection keys AUTO (automatic) and MAN (manual).
The push-buttons for: engine START and STOP, contactors control,
RESET to stop the sounder alarm and turn the alarm LED off, SHIFT
button for the visualisation on the display of hour counter, generator volt,
generator Hz and battery volt.

GUARDIAN
Quadro di avviamento automatico per gruppo elettrogeno.
Il principio di funzionamento di un quadro ad intervento automatico in abbinamento
ad un gruppo elettrogeno consiste nel garantire all’utilizzatore finale la continuità
della tensione di alimentazione sia in presenza che in assenza di rete “enel”.
Con presenza di rete il carico viene tenuto alimentato tramite un contattore di bypass ed il gruppo elettrogeno viene mantenuto spento ma pronto all’utilizzo; in caso
di mancanza rete, automaticamente il quadro Guardian avvia il gruppo elettrogeno.
Versione GUARDIAN BASE senza commutazione.
