delle caratteristiche apprezzabili durante il lancio, per non parlare della
incredibile galleggiabilità e trasparenza quando la coda si appoggia sul
film dell'acqua dopo il lancio. La sensazione di un leggero sibilo durante
il lancio è sinonimo di una bassissima frizione e attrito sugli anelli della

to say that while the concept was always the ‘Holy Grail’, early product had its
teething problems. The benefits of ultra low stretch lines are clear – smoother
casting performance, positive hook sets, quicker lift off and improved mending

Tactical Quick Spey is a multi tip design which bridges the gap between traditional full
Spey lines and the increasingly popular Scandinavian shooting heads.
The 47-50 foot head is ideal for quick loading and easy D-loops whilst the Ridge Supple

una cosa sola, nella realtà noi abbiamo trovato l’idea perfetta:
il “polyleader”.
Confrontate il “butt” di un finale e poi la punta di una “coda”, e osservatene
la diversa rigidità...una enorme differenza! Il “butt” del finale risulta
notevolmente più rigido rispetto alla morbidezza della punta della “coda”,
rendendo più difficile il trasferimento di energia cinetica trasmesso alla
“coda” dall’azione della canna...risultato: pose e precisione del finale
realmente difficili.
I “polyleader” non sono altro che la soluzione a questo problema.
I “polyleader” utilizzano, come anima, un monofilo identico a quello delle
nostre flyline, ricoperto da uno strato morbido di polimeri di differenti
densità (galleggianti e affondanti). Il risultato è un finale conico che
permette il trasferimento di energia cinetica in modo progressivo
e accurato.
I “polyleader”, facili da cambiare grazie al sistema “loop-to-loop”, sono la
soluzione più pratica per pescare in ogni situazione e con qualsiasi tecnica:
mosca secca, ninfa, streamer, salmone, mare ecc.
POLYLEADER
Come usare i “polyleader”
I “polyleader” sono confezionati in lunghezze che vanno dai 4 ai 15 piedi,
pronti all’uso per qualsiasi esigenza tecnica, da collegare alla flyline con
il pratico sistema “loop-to-loop” e al finale con i classici nodi: blood knot,
water knot, perfection loop ecc.
Qual’è il carico di rottura dei “polyleader”?
I “polyleader” sono prodotti in un range di tenuta in libbre che va dalle 8lbs
alle 40lbs, adatti quindi per la pesca in “dry fly” delle trote in acqua dolce
alla pesca più impegnativa dei grossi tarpon in mare.
Quali densità di affondamento sono disponibili?
I “polyleader” sono disponibili nei modelli galleggianti e intermedi, e
inoltre coprono i vari gradi di affondamento (sinking) rispondendo a tutte
le esigenze del pescatore a mosca. In acque ferme o correnti, i “polyleader”,
scelti nella vasta gamma di lunghezza e densità, risolvono qualsiasi
tipologia di problema per svolgere al meglio la tecnica più adatta in ogni
situazione (streamer, ninfa, popper ecc.)

Yellowstone is arguably the centre of the
trout fishing universe, and it is here just
outside it’s eastern boundary that Rene’
has spent his entire life. Within a half day
drive from home on the Henry’s Fork lie
legendary rivers like the Madison, FireHole,
Beaverhead, Missouri, Big Hole, Yellowstone,
and the Snake. Having been a fly fisherman
from the age of nine, Rene’ has spent nearly
forty of his sixty plus as a professional tyer,
river guide, writer, and artist.
‘The Italians’ as they are affectionately known
to everyone in the industry, Marika & Alberto
have the enviable position of travelling the
globe searching out new adventures to
write and photograph. Both are FFF qualified
instructors, running courses and guiding
throughout Europe.

We are excited to enlist the services of
current World Champion Iain Barr to help
with product development. Iain brings a
wealth of experience in all aspects of fly
fishing and we are sure his input will be put
to good use over the coming years.
In his role as Airflo Sales Director, Gareth has
travelled the world making sure our lines
perform in their intended environments tough job. A Stillwater specialist, Gareth has
fished to the highest levels in competition,
but in recent years has turned his attentions
to saltwater with a serious inclination for both
Tarpon and Stripers.

Tim became a hardened fly fisherman at
the age of 10, fishing for trout in Northern
California. Following in the footsteps of a
famous brother Tim became a champion
caster at a young age. Perhaps it is his
engineering background and analytic mind
or the years of competition where casts over
200 feet are common that drive Tim to push
equipment design to the extreme,
Tim is the North American distributor for
Airflo and contributes to design of many
Airflo’s products.
Innovative and odd fly tyer. He started
fly fishing in the 1981 and writing for the
fishing magazine since 1990. He won all
the important fly tying tournaments and
now he became the judge himself for the
“new generation” of fly tyers in Italy. In
2000 wrote a book “Microchenille & C.”
about the innovative way of fly tying with
synthetic materials. He experienced fly fishing
internationally in freshwater and saltwater
and experiment his particular patterns with
predator fish!
