Occupying
two floors, the store will include
women's
and men's leather goods and accessories,
trunks
and
textiles.
An in-store
atelier will be dedicated
to the
signature
personalization
service,
from
hand
pain¬
ting of initials, to taking orders for
made-to-measure
trunks and handbags.
The boutique is designed
by
Gwenael
Nicolas,
director
of
Curiosity,
an
architectural
and graphic
design practice
based
in
Tokyo. The domed ceiling and the arched windows
of
the store echo the signature
curves on Moynat
trunks
and handbags.
The pattern of the ceiling is inspired
by
the Art Deco period, the golden age of Moynat, when the
artist
Henri
Rapin
was
the
creative
director
of the House.

II designer francese Gwenael Nicolas, nato in Francia nel 1966, si occupa di product design, i n t e r i o r design e architettura. Fonda Curiosity nel
1998.1 progetti di Gwenael Nicolas sono caratterizzati dalla translucenza,
da colorazioni emozionali e da f o r m e affascinanti.
Gwenael Nicolas was born in 1966 in Bretagne, France. He graduated
from
the Royal College of Art in London with a master in industrial design. In 1998,
he founded
his studio 'Curiosity' dealing with product, interior design and
architecture. The recognizable
characteristics
of Gwenael Nicolas' designs are
translucency, emotional coloring and attractive forms. •
