What is Beyond 20/20?
Beyond 20/20 is a program to access, view and
browse statistical data
 Easy to display
multi-dimensional datasets
 File extension: .ivt
• IEA publishes energy data in this format

1.Select a dimension
2.Click on the sort

3.Remember to choose
‘Data’ as a field

Exporting data to Excel
A. Select data -> copy and paste it to Excel
Note:
files can
also be
saved as
.csv, .txt
and .dbf
B. Display the data -> File -> Save as .xls

Exporting data to Excel
NOTES:
 B2020 only exports the data that is currently being displayed.
Hidden elements will not be included in the output file;
 It is not possible to copy and paste to Excel large data sets.
In these cases, you should save the data in a .csv format and
then import it from Excel;
 Data displayed in B2020 can be later visualised in Excel as pivot
tables (sourcing the data from the file itself or from a .txt file);
 Files can also be saved as .csv, .txt and .dbf.

manipulation you will have to copy the data
into Excel.
