VOGHERA FILM FESTIVAL 2016 REGULATION/ Guideline 1. The association Iria Cultura, in collaboration with The Space cinema -­‐ Montebello della Battaglia (PAVIA), presents the fourth edition of the Voghera Film Festival. 2. Voghera Film Festival has the purpose to promote the knowing and the spread of the cinema, and it is an important meeting point of international cinematography. 3. Five are the sections in which the Festival is divided: • DOCUMENTARIES: Documentaries of every lenght, genre and in every language are admitted, as long as Italian or English subtitles are provided. In case of works in a language different from Italian, the sending of an English dialogue list will be compulsory. • SHORT MOVIES: Short movies maximum 30 minutes long of any genre and language are admitted, as long as Italian or English subtitles are provided. In case of works in a language different from Italian, the sending of an English dialogue list will be compulsory. N.B. A specific session of the Festival is dedicated to horror short movies. • SHORT HORROR MOVIES: Horror short movies maximum 30 minutes long of any genre and language are admitted, as long as Italian or English subtitles are provided. In case of works in a language different from Italian, the sending of an English dialogue list will be compulsory. • ANIMATION MOVIES: Animation movies of every lenght, genre and language are admitted, as long as Italian or English subtitles are provided. In case of works in a language different from Italian, the sending of an English dialogue list will be compulsory. • VIDEOCLIP: Video clips of every lenght and genre are admitted, as long as the music is original (cover will not be accepted). 4. An international jury made up by personalities of the worlds of culture and cinema will assign the following prizes: •

SANDRO BOLCHI PRIZE (best direction): 1.000 Euro This prize is assignable to all the cathegories (Documentaries, Short Movies, Horror short movies, Animation movies, Video clips). Best documentary Best short movie Best short horror movie Best animation movie Best videoclip 5. Works of every genre and recorded on every support, both film or digital, in Italian or in a different language, will be admitted, as long as subtitled in Italian or English. In case of works released in a language different from Italian, the sending of an English dialogue list will be compulsory. Every author can send more than one work. 6. Two are the ways authors can choose to participate to Voghera Film Festival selections: • by filling the form on the website of the Festival and sending by/no longer than the 30th of April 2016 (postmark will prove it) a copy of the DVD (Pal) of the work, accompained by adequate informative documents, as required at point 8, at the address: Voghera Film Festival, Biblioteca Comunale, Via Gramsci, 1, Voghera (PV), 27058. • by applying using the web platforms indicated on the website www.vogherafilmfestival.com 7. In order to apply, it is compulsory to make a donation by PayPal ([email protected]) for every single work submitted, or to follow the instructions on the web platforms indicated: • from 30/10/2015 to 31/01/2016: 10 Euros for every work submitted. • from 1/02/2016 to 31/03/2016 : 20 Euros for every work submitted. • from 1/04/2016 to 30/04/2016: 40 Euros for every work submitted. 8. The submission form must be completed in all of its parts and signed. All of the cds/dvds must be labelled with title, name of the director, year and contacts. Moreover, a cd containing these pieces of information must be attached: • A brief plot • Technical information about the movie • Director’s biography/ filmography • Pictures/ posters of the movie • Press kit (if available) 9. The jury of Voghera Film Festival will select amongst the works received by the previously indicated dates, the ones who will be admitted. Judges’ decision is unquestionable. A list with the selected works will be published on the website www.vogherafilmfestival.com. The selection of the works will be notified to their authors by e-­‐mail. 10. The association, even undertaking the care and the preservation of the received works, is not responsible of potential thefts, damages or losses of the same, from the time of arrival to the days of the Festival. 11. By sending their works, senders declare to own the rights of the selfsame, that the contents don’t violate the in force laws and that the work does not include libelous contents. In every case, authors releieve the organisation from every possible loss, damage, responsibility, costs and obligations of any kind that can follow the projection of their movies. SIAE matters and the payment for the related rights, in case of music executed by a third party, are competence of the authors. 12. The works sent won’t be devolved to the authors, and they will be preserved as part of the archive of Voghera Film Festival. 13. Authors and/or producers admitted to the final selection, previosuly informed by the organizators of the Festival, will have to send a copy of their work in and adequate format (as the association requires) to be projected during the event. 14. Authors hereby authorize the projections of the submitted movies for educational aims in schools, for cultural events and to promote the Festival. Different uses will be made respecting the in force laws concerning copyright, after the authorization by the owners of the same rights. 15. Direction can take decisions about issues not mentioed in this set of rules. 16. The admission to the Festivel implies the unconditional acceptance of this regulation. For every problem related to the treatment of the works received the competent authority is the Foro od the city of Pavia. In case of objections on the meaning of the points in this list, the Italian version of the same prevails. VOGHERA FILM FESTIVAL 2016 REGOLAMENTO 1. L’associazione Iria Cultura, in collaborazione con il cinema The Space di Montebello della Battaglia (PV), presenta la quarta edizione del Voghera Film Festival. 2. Il Voghera Film Festival ha lo scopo di favorire la conoscenza e la diffusione del cinema e si propone come importante punto d’incontro delle varie cinematografie internazionali. 3. Il Festival prevede cinque categorie: • DOCUMENTARI: Sono ammessi documentari di qualsiasi durata, genere e lingua, purché sottotitolati in italiano o inglese. In caso di opere non in lingua italiana, è obbligatorio inviare la Dialogue List in lingua inglese. • CORTOMETRAGGI: Sono ammessi cortometraggi della durata massima di trenta minuti, senza alcuna distinzione di genere e di lingua, purché sottotitolati in italiano o inglese. In caso di opere non in lingua italiana, è obbligatorio inviare la Dialogue List in lingua inglese. N.B. Per i cortometraggi di genere horror vi è una specifica sezione dedicata. • CORTOMETRAGGI HORROR: Sono ammessi cortometraggi esclusivamente di genere horror della durata massima di trenta minuti, senza alcuna distinzione di lingua, purché sottotitolati in inglese o in italiano. In caso di opere non in lingua italiana, è obbligatorio inviare la Dialogue List in lingua inglese. • ANIMAZIONE: Sono ammesse opere d’animazione di qualsiasi durata, genere e lingua, purché sottotitolati in italiano o inglese. In caso di opere non in lingua italiana, è obbligatorio inviare la Dialogue List in lingua inglese. • VIDEO CLIP: Sono ammessi video clip di qualsiasi durata e genere musicale, purché le musiche siano originali (no cover). 4. Una giuria internazionale composta da personalità del mondo del cinema e della cultura assegnerà i seguenti Premi: • PREMIO SANDRO BOLCHI (Miglior Regia): 1.000 Euro Il premio è aperto a tutte le categorie (Documentari, Cortometraggi, Cortometraggi Horror, Animazione, Video Clip) e sarà assegnato alla Miglio Regia. • PREMIO MIGLIOR DOCUMENTARIO • PREMIO MIGLIOR CORTOMETRAGGIO • PREMIO MIGLIOR CORTOMETRAGGIO HORROR • PREMIO MIGLIOR ANIMAZIONE • PREMIO MIGLIOR VIDEO CLIP 5. Verranno ammesse opere di qualsiasi genere e girate su qualsiasi supporto, pellicola o digitale, in lingua italiana o straniera, purché sottotitolate in italiano o inglese. In caso di opere non in lingua italiana, è obbligatorio inviare la Dialogue List in lingua inglese. Ogni autore può presentare più di un’ opera. 6. Per partecipare al Voghera Film Festival , gli autori potranno scegliere tra le seguenti modalità: • Compilare la scheda di iscrizione presente sul sito internet del Festival e inviare entro e non oltre il 30 aprile 2016 (farà fede il timbro postale di spedizione) una copia DVD (Pal) del film, accompagnata da un’adeguata documentazione informativa, così come descritto nell’articolo 8, a Voghera Film Festival, Biblioteca Comunale, Via Gramsci, 1, Voghera (PV), 27058. • Iscrivere le proprie opere attraverso le piattaforme web indicate sulla home del sito www.vogherafilmfestival.com 7. Per iscriversi è obbligatorio effettuare una donazione, per ogni opera iscritta, attraverso PayPal ([email protected]) o seguendo le modalità previste dalle piattaforme web indicate, secondo il seguente regolamento: • Dal 30/10/2015 al 31/01/2016: donazione di 10 Euro per ogni opera iscritta. • Dal 1/02/2016 al 31/03/2016 : donazione di 20 Euro per ogni opera iscritta. • Dal 1/04/2016 al 30/04/2016: donazione di 40 Euro per ogni opera iscritta. 8. La scheda d’iscrizione deve essere compilata in tutte le sue parti e firmata. Tutti i cd/dvd devono essere etichettati con titolo, regista, anni e contatti. Inoltre, dovrà essere allegato un CD contenente: • Una breve sinossi • Scheda tecnica del film • La biografia/filmografia del regista • Fotografie del film/locandine • Press kit (se disponibile) 9. Tra tutte le opere pervenute entro i termini, la commissione selezionatrice del Voghera Film Festival designerà le opere che parteciperanno al concorso. Il giudizio della giuria è insindacabile. L’elenco dei film selezionati sarà pubblicato sul sito www. vogherafilmfestival.com. Gli autori e/o produttori riceveranno notifica della selezione tramite e-­‐mail. 10. L’organizzazione, pur impegnandosi nella cura e nella custodia delle opere pervenute, non si assume la responsabilità per eventuali furti, danneggiamenti o smarrimenti che queste dovessero subire dal momento dell’arrivo a quello della manifestazione. 11. Inviando l’opera, il mittente dichiara di essere titolare di tutti i diritti di utilizzazione della stessa, che i contenuti dell’opera non violano le leggi vigenti e che l’opera non presenta contenuti di carattere diffamatorio. In ogni caso, l’autore solleva l’organizzazione da ogni eventuale perdita, danno, responsabilità, costi e oneri di qualsivoglia natura che dovessero essere sostenuti a causa del contenuto della sua opera e della sua proiezione in pubblico. Compete all'autore l’eventuale tutela SIAE dell’opera e il pagamento dei relativi diritti di esecuzione in caso di utilizzo di musiche di repertorio create da terzi. 12. Le opere inviate per la selezione non saranno restituite e formeranno parte del patrimonio dell’archivio del Voghera Film Festival. 13. Gli autori e/o produttori ammessi alla fase finale, preventivamente avvisati dall’organizzazione del Festival, dovranno inviare una copia della propria opera in un formato adeguato (secondo le richieste dell’organizzazione del Festival) che sarà proiettata nelle giornate del Festival. 14. Gli autori autorizzano la proiezione dei film iscritti per uso didattico negli istituti d’istruzione, per iniziative culturali e per finalità di promozione del Festival. Altro diverso utilizzo avverrà nel rispetto delle norme vigenti in tema di diritto d’autore, previa autorizzazione degli aventi diritto. 15. La direzione del Festival può prendere decisioni relative a questioni non previste dal presente regolamento. 16. La richiesta di ammissione al Festival implica l’accettazione incondizionata del presente regolamento. Per ogni controversia derivante dall’utilizzo delle opere filmiche sarà competente il Foro di Pavia. In caso di contestazione sul significato degli articoli del regolamento, farà fede quello redatto in lingua italiana.
