Il Team PEDERCINI RACING inizia la stagione WorldSBK con un prezioso punto nella classifica finale conquistato in gara 1 da SYLVAIN BARRIER
a Phillip Island. Ancora in cerca del perfetto feeling con la sua KAWASAKI Ninja ZX-10R, il pilota francese è riuscito a passare 15esimo sotto la
bandiera a scacchi dopo una partenza dalle retrovie che lo ha limitato alle posizioni di mezza classifica per tutto il primo Round. BARRIER
rimanda a domani l’obiettivo di puntare agonisticamente più in alto e nel frattempo approfitterà del briefing tecnico con i suoi meccanici per
effettuare piccole modifiche di setting per migliorare tecnicamente l’ingresso in curva.
Per SAEED AL SULAITI, invece, la giornata è iniziata in bellezza con un miglior crono personale in Superpole1 di ben 1,2 secondi più veloce
rispetto a quello fatto segnare ieri. Al debutto nel mondiale SBK con alle spalle solamente 5 anni di carriera agonistica, il pilota qatarino ha
ottenuto con soddisfazione la 17esima posizione, dopo essere scattato dalla 21esima casella in griglia. La crescita di Al SULAITI ha sorpreso
l’intera squadra ed il suo obiettivo già dalla gara di domani è di chiudere in zona punti.
SYLVAIN e SAEED hanno fatto tesoro dei preziosi consigli di LUCIO PEDERCINI; l’ex pilota a capo dell’omonima squadra non perde occasione
per motivare i suoi ragazzi ad ogni ingresso in pista:“La 15esima posizione è un risultato sicuramente al di sotto del potenziale di Barrier –
afferma con consapevolezza il Team Manager della squadra mantovana - Purtroppo abbiamo avuto la possibilità di lavorare sulla moto 2016 solo
nei test pre-campionato di inizio settimana ed il feeling di guida necessario per spingersi agonisticamente al limite delle possibilità deve ancora
essere acquisito da entrambi i piloti. Ci vorrà ancora un po' di tempo ma, con l’impegno che ci stiamo mettendo, le soddisfazioni non tarderanno
ad arrivare… Devo dire: Bravo Saeed! Ottimo debutto”.
SAEED AL SULAITI #11, 15.esimo in gara: “Per me questo di Phillip Island è un weekend magico e voglio ringraziare la mia squadra, la QMMF e
chiunque mi supporti in quest’avventura meravigliosa per l’opportunità che mi è stata offerta. Sono contento che il mio impegno si trasformi in
risultato sportivo ad ogni ingresso in pista e spero che il mio percorso di crescita nel mondiale SBK vada molto in alto. Tanto quanto vanno in
alto le mie ambizioni… Inutile dire che sono felice del risultato di gara: penso che mi si legga in faccia…”.
SYLVAIN BARRIER #20, 17esimo in gara: “La Superpole prometteva molto bene; avevamo fatto regolazioni importanti sulla moto in funzione
alla gara che sarebbe iniziata da lì a poco… Purtroppo, però, forse a causa della temperatura che è aumentata nel frattempo, non sono riuscito
a sfruttare le modifiche che credevo determinanti nell’ingresso di curva. Sono comunque contento per la giornata di oggi, sto acquisendo feeling
sia con la moto, sia con il mio staff di meccanici e questo mi fa guardare avanti con entusiasmo”.

WorldSBK season starts for PEDERCINI RACING Team with a valuable point in Race 1 final standings for SYLVAIN BARRIER. Not yet in complete
confidence with his KAWASAKI Ninja ZX-10R, the Frenchman managed to pass 15 th under the chequered flag after a start from behind which
forced him to fight for middle ranking positions. BARRIER aims to a better result tomorrow, and in the meantime will take advantage of the
briefing with the technical staff to find the right changes in the setting for improving the corner entering speed.
For SAEED AL SULAITI, the day started on a positive notice with a brilliant 1.2 seconds improvement in lap time record, achieved during
Superpole1. His debut in WorldSBK with only 5 years of experience in competition, was for the Qatari rider fully satisfactory with a 17th position in
the final standings after a start from the 21st position in the grid. The whole Team was surprised with this big step forward of AL SULAITI, who
now has the ambition of gaining his first points in the tomorrow race.
SYLVAIN and SAEED have treasured the precious advice of LUCIO PEDERCINI, the former Italian rider is always ready to motivate his guys
each time they get into the track: "The 15th position is a result definitely below the potential of Barrier - says LUCIO and adds - unfortunately we
had the opportunity to work on the bike 2016 only in the beginning of the pre-season testing week and it wasn’t enough to achieve the necessary
riding feeling to compete at the best for both riders. It will take a bit more time, but with all our commitment the better results will come for
sure..... Saeed has done a very good job.”
SYLVAIN BARRIER # 20, 15th: "The Superpole1 was very promising; we made major adjustments on the bike in preparation to the race that
would begin shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, however, maybe due to the arisen temperature, I failed to take advantage of the changes made to
improve the corner entrance. However I am happy for this day, I am getting more feeling with the bike and with my technical staff, this makes
me look ahead with enthusiasm”.
SAEED AL Sulaiti # 11, 17th: "This one in Phillip Island is a magic weekend, and I want to thank all my team, QMMF and anyone who supports me in
this adventure. I am glad because my commitment turns into good results every time I get into the track. I hope that this path will take me to
better and better positions throughout the year, my ambitions are high. There’s no need to say that I am happy with the race result: you can
read it in my face...”.
