HISTORY, TRADITION AND INNOVATION
Cicli Lombardo Spa, over 60 employees, half
of whom are women, 7,000 square metres
of covered factory and a production of over
500 bicycles per day, a cutting-edge business
enjoying strong growth both in Italy and on
the international markets, which appreciate
the attention to detail, elegant lines and the
historical value of a brand which is a byword
for tradition and reliability. The roots of the
company lie back in 1952, when it was founded
by Gaspare Lombardo, later awarded the title
of “Cavaliere Ufficiale della Repubblica” by the
President of the Republic. Today the limited
company is run by his three children: Emilio,
Managing Director, Giuseppe, Purchasing
and R&D Manager and Francesco, Production
Manager, and is one of Italy’s top names in
the conventional bike market. In Italy it has
over 700 sales outlets and also has a branch
in Germany, opened in 2005 in Rheinmuster. In
addition to dealers in Germany, Belgium, Spain,
Austria, France, Portugal, the Netherlands,
Switzerland, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Slovenia,
Serbia and Lithuania, Lombardo also recently
entered the UK, Australian and US markets, the
latter in Iowa. “Despite the economic crisis,”
explained Emilio Lombardo, the company’s
Managing Director, “in the past few years the
company has recorded annual growth of around
20 percent: this is a sign that our work is done
well, is highly competitive, and is appreciated
on the international markets.” Next spring the
company will also be inaugurating a new factory,
covering another 10,000 square metres.
La Cicli Lombardo Spa, oltre 60 dipendenti
di cui la metà donne, 7mila metri quadratidi
stabilimenti coperti e una produzione di oltre 500
biciclette al giorno, è un’azienda all’avanguardia
leader in Italia e in forte espansione sui mercati
internazionali che apprezzano la cura dei
dettagli, l’eleganza delle forme e la storicità di un
marchio sinonimo di tradizione e affidabilità.
La storia dell’azienda affonda le sue radici
nel 1952 quando viene fondata da Gaspare
Lombardo, insignito dal Presidente della
Repubblica del titolo di Cavaliere Ufficiale della
Repubblica. Oggi l’azienda, una Spa, è gestita
dai suoi tre figli: Emilio, managing director,
Giuseppe, direttore del settore acquisti e R&S,
e Francesco, responsabile della produzione.
In Italia conta oltre 700 punti vendita e vanta
anche una sede, aperta nel 2005, in Germania,
a Rheinmuster. Oltre a distributori presenti
in Germania, Belgio, Spagna, Austria, Francia,
Portogallo, Olanda, Svizzera, Grecia, Cipro,
Malta, Slovenia, Serbia e Lituania, la Lombardo
ha raggiunto recentemente anche il mercato
inglese, quello australiano e americano, dove
è sbarcata nell’Iowa. “L’azienda, nonostante la
forte crisi congiunturale - ha spiegato Emilio
Lombardo, amministratore delegato dell’azienda
– registra, negli ultimi anni una crescita annuale
di circa il 15 per cento: segno che il nostro
lavoro è ben fatto, viene apprezzato nei mercati
internazionali ed è fortemente competitivo”.
Entro il 2015, inoltre, l’azienda
inaugurerà un nuovo stabilimento di
ulteriori 10mila metri quadrati.

QUALITÀ / QUALITY
Sistema di verniciatura di alto livello
L’azienda è dotata, al suo interno, di un sistema
di verniciatura di alto livello qualitativo che
rispetta l’ambiente, abbattendo le emissioni di
solventi nell’aria, e aumenta il livello di sicurezza
eliminando il pericolo di autocombustione
delle vernici sintetiche. Gli adesivi sono,
inoltre, tutti sotto vernice in modo da
garantire cura estetica e durata nel tempo.
Maggiore durata nel tempo
Negli stabilimenti si utilizza un impianto
di assemblaggio ruote con macchinari
tecnologicamente avanzati che comprendono
un macchinario che permette la stabilizzazione
dei raggi che garantisce ai modelli una maggiore
durata nel tempo e una migliore qualità.
Attenzione costante ad ogni passaggio
Tutte le fasi di assemblaggio delle
biciclette, fino al collaudo finale, avvengono
all’interno dell’azienda. Questo consente
di porre un’estrema cura e un’attenzione
costante ad ogni passaggio.
Conforme Iso 14001
L’azienda adotta i sistemi di gestione ambientale
internazionale Iso 14001 che attestano che il
suo sistema produttivo è conforme a standard
internazionali che tutelano e rispettano
l’ambiente.
Rispetto delle normative europee
L’intera produzione rispetta i requisiti di qualità
e sicurezza previsti dalla normativa europea.
Energia pulita
L’azienda si alimenta, per la quasi totalità
del suo fabbisogno energetico, con impianti
fotovoltaici avanzati che consentono il
risparmio di 460 tonnellate di petrolio in
25 anni e di 1.163 tonnellate di anidride
carbonica evitate in atmosfera in 25 anni.
Numero di matricola univoco
Sistema di tracciabilità totale delle biciclette,
identificate da un numero di matricola che
consente di individuare ogni bici in tutte le sue
fasi di vita: dalla produzione, alla spedizione fino
all’assistenza post-vendita.
Cura artigianale del design
La cura artigianale del design, l’attenzione
ai dettagli e l’eleganza italiana spiccano
nelle forme, nella scelta dei colori, di ultima
tendenza, e nelle rifiniture. Inoltre, la

produttrice. La garanzia ha inizio dalla data di
acquisto, purchè tale acquisto sia avvenuto
presso un rivenditore autorizzato. In caso di
difetti di fabbricazione o imputabili ai materiali
impiegati e purchè il telaio sia sottoposto alle
normali condizioni d’uso, la Cicli Lombardo
si impegna a riparare o sostituire le parti in
garanzia risultate difettose, mentre saranno
a carico del cliente le spese di trasporto.
In buying a Lombardo bicycle you have the
assurance of a 2 years guarantee on the frame
from the date of purchase (it must be through
an official dealer). Component parts are
guaranteed separately by the manufacturers
and covered by their own guarantee. The
parts resulting defectives are replaced or
repaired (when possible) by Lombardo Cycles
S.p.A. transport freights are on customer’s
charge. The fulfilment of the warranty exists
only with a normal use of the bicycle.
