Dopo la chiusura estiva la Galleria360 riapre le proprie sale espositive proponendo una piacevole
serata all’insegna dell’arte, della musica e di nuove emozioni estetiche.
Venerdì 11 Settembre alle 19.00 in via il Prato 11r Firenze, la Galleria360 vi aspetta quindi per un
doppio imperdibile evento di arte contemporanea: la mostra personale dell’artista Regina
Noakes e la mostra collettiva dal titolo “EmozionARTE”. Musicisti jazz suoneranno dal vivo
durante la serata.
Regina Noakes è una famosa artista australiana. Nata a Singapore nel 1958, si forma presso la “Art
Students League” a Boston. Attualmente si dedica alla pittura a tempo pieno, ottenendo grande
successo in Australia, Inghilterra, USA e in Italia. Ha vinto numerosi premi e riconoscimenti come la
Medaglia d’oro di Lorenzo il Magnifico a Firenze; le sue opere inoltre si trovano all’interno di
importanti collezioni private, di organi di governo ed Università come ad esempio: Eric Clapton,
Sting MBE, The British Goverment Art Collection, University of Cambridge, Ministry of Water
Resources, Sultanate of Oman, Singapore Economic Board. Attraverso un linguaggio genuino, che
ricorda un po’ la pittura naïf, Regina Noakes intreccia realtà ed immaginazione, ricordi personali e
fantasia, creando continui corto circuiti capaci di sollecitare nuove ipotesi psicologiche ed emotive.
L’artista sarà presente all’inaugurazione.
“EmozionARTE” invece è una mostra collettiva di artisti internazionali che si concentra sulla
capacità propria di ogni artista di suscitare emozioni attraverso le proprie opere.
Nel passato secondo una tradizione consolidata, le emozioni erano considerate una minaccia per la
razionalità. Da Platone in poi, i filosofi di tutte le epoche ci hanno esortato a vincere le passioni
attraverso la ragione. La famosa frase latina di Cartesio “cogito ergo sum” (penso dunque esisto),
riassume bene tale convinzione. Ma in realtà le emozioni fanno parte della natura umana e
costituiscono l’aspetto forse più “vero” della realtà. Esse sono infatti reazioni che nascono e si
manifestano in maniera del tutto spontanea ed involontaria in risposta agli stimoli esterni. La
parola emozione deriva dal latino emovere, ovvero smuovere; è dunque un “muovere”, uno
“scuotere” qualcosa dentro ognuno di noi. L’arte per eccellenza rappresenta una infinita possibilità
di emozioni: ogni opera è l’espressione dei vissuti profondi, è la comunicazione empatica delle
sensazioni provate dall’autore nel suo rapporto creativo con il mondo ed è capace al tempo stesso
di toccare le corde più profonde, di far vibrare l’anima. Il valore di un’opera d’arte infatti è sempre
legato alla profondità delle emozioni che essa è in grado di comunicare. Marcel Proust affermava
che “le opere, come nei pozzi artesiani, salgono più alte quanto più a fondo la sofferenza ha scavato il
cuore."

After the summer break, the Galleria360 reopens its exhibition halls beginning with a pleasant
evening of art, music and new aesthetic emotions. On Friday, September 11th 2015 at 19.00, in
via il Prato 11r Firenze, the Galleria360 awaits you for a two-part event of contemporary art: the
personal exhibition of the artist Regina Noakes and the group exhibition entitled
"EmozionARTE". Jazz musicians will play live music throughout the evening.
Regina Noakes is a famous Australian artist. Born in Singapore in 1958, she has trained at the "Art
Students League" in Boston. Currently she devotes herself to painting full-time, achieving a great
success in Australia, England, USA and Italy. She has won numerous prizes and awards such as the
Gold Medal of Lorenzo the Magnificent in Florence; her works are also in private collections,
government bodies and universities such as: Eric Clapton, Sting MBE, The British Goverment Art
Collection, University of Cambridge, Ministry of Water Resources, Sultanate of Oman, Singapore
Economic Board. Through a genuine language, which resembles the naive painting, Regina Noakes
interweaves reality and imagination, personal memories and imagination, creating a continuous
short circuit capable of stimulating new psychological and emotional hypothesis. The artist will be
present at opening.
“EmozionARTE” is a group exhibition of international artists that focuses on the ability of artists to
arouse emotions through their work. In the past, according to established tradition, emotions were
considered a threat to rationality. From Plato on, philosophers of all ages have exhorted us to
experience passion through reason. The famous Descartes’ Latin phrase “cogito ergo sum" (I think
therefore I am), sums up that belief. But in reality, emotions are part of human nature and constitute
perhaps a more "real" reality.
Emotions are in fact reactions that arise and manifest themselves in a totally spontaneous and
involuntary ways, in response to external stimuli. The word emotion comes from the Latin
“emovere”; it is therefore a "move", a "shake" of something inside each of us. Art for example
represents an infinite possibility of emotions: each artwork is an expression of deep feelings and is
an empathic communication of feelings experienced by the artist in his creative relationship with
the world, while at the same time is able to move the deeper strings, to vibrate the soul. The value
of an artistic work in fact is always related to the depth of the emotions that it is able to
communicate. Marcel Proust said that "works of art, like artesian wells, mount higher in proportion as
the suffering has more deeply pierced the heart.”
