Bouquet final de ces 3 jours de compétitions, le Longines Grand Prix a réuni les 36 meilleurs concurrents du Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show. Un Grand Prix comptant pour le Longines ranking, qualifiant pour les Championnats d’Europe 2015 et les Jeux Olympiques 2016. Pour cette troisième étape du French Tour, le Longines Grand Prix, doté de 300.000 euros, a tenu toutes ses promesses en offrant au public un spectacle sportif exceptionnel. Un parcours coté à 1m60, 13 obstacles pour 16 efforts, un enchaînement de sauts, … aucun relâchement n’était possible ! La succession de Patrice Delaveau, vainqueur de l’édition 2014, allait être âprement disputée. Au total, 36 cavaliers : tous pouvant prétendre à la plus haute marche du Longines Grand Prix. Le parcours dessiné par Guilherme Jorge (BRA) et Luc Musette (BEL) a été savamment dosé dans les différentes difficultés. 12 couples sont sortis de piste sans pénalité. Le public enthousiaste a encouragé l’ensemble des cavaliers sur la deuxième manche. Marco Kutscher (GER) avec Cornet’s Cristallo est entré en piste juste derrière Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA), qui venait de réaliser un excellent chronomètre (44.77sec), sans hésiter et prenant toutes les options qui s’offraient à lui, Marco Kutscher s’installe en pôle position avec un chronomètre de 44.47 sec. Encouragé par un public déchaîné, Sergio Alvarez Moya (ESP), avant dernier à se lancer, a tout fait pour gagner l’épreuve, malheureusement il ne sera que deuxième en 44,57 sec, juste devant le brésilien. Le meilleur français, Timothée Anciaume sur Olympic Libellule termine quant à lui à la cinquième place. 1 ! ! Ils ont dits Marco Kutscher : « Pour ma première participation au Longines Athina Onassis Horse, je suis très impressionné par l’événement et tout le week-end fût excellent pour moi; pour couronner le tout mon cheval a été fantastique et je ne pouvais pas rêver mieux » ; Sergio Alvarez Moya : « Je ne suis pas le cavalier ayant le plus de style mais j’ai mis toute mon énergie pour ce Grand Prix et mon cheval a sauté extraordinairement bien. L’événement était absolument sublime, le niveau sportif était d’une grande qualité » ; Marlon Modolo Zanotelli : « Je savais d’avance que la compétition serait serrée car la victoire s’est jouée à quelques dixièmes de secondes ! Press release Ramatuelle, June 6, 2015 Marco Kutschers wins the Longines Grand Prix! The grande finale to the 3 days of competition, the Longines Grand Prix, brought together the 36 best riders in the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show. The Grand Prix counted for the Longines ranking in qualification for the 2015 European Championships 2015 and the 2016 Olympic Games. For this third stage in the French Tour, the Longines Grand Prix, with 300,000 euros in prize money, kept its promise to be an exceptional sports event for spectators. The course had 13 obstacles at 1.60 m for 16 jumping efforts, a succession of jumps...with no let-up possible! It would be a fierce competition to follow Patrice Delaveau, winner for the 2014 session. In all, 36 riders: all of whom had the potential to take the highest step on the podium in the Longines Grand Prix. The course designed by Guilherme Jorge (BRA) and Luc Musette (BEL), was skillfully planned with the various difficulties. 12 pairs came out without penalties. The enthusiastic public encouraged all of the riders in the second stage. Marco Kutscher (GER) with Cornet’s Cristallo entered the course right behind Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA), who had just performed an excellent time (44.77sec), without hesitating and taking all of the options as they came, Marco Kutscher took the lead with the chronometer at 44.47 sec. Encouraged by an audience that went wild, Sergio Alvarez Moya (ESP), the next to the last to compete, had everything to win the event, unfortunately, he only came in second at 44.57 sec, right ahead of the Brazilian. The best French rider, Timothée Anciaume on Olympic Libellule finished in fifth place. 1 ! ! Fiore all’occhiello di questi 3 giorni di gare, il Longines Grand Prix ha riunito i 36 migliori cavalieri del Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show. Un Grand Prix valevole per la ranking Longines, qualificante per i Campionati Europei 2015 e per i Giochi Olimpici 2016. Per questa terza tappa del French Tour, il Gran Premio Longines, con 300.000 euro di montepremi, ha soddisfatto le aspettative offrendo al pubblico uno spettacolo sportivo eccezionale. Un percorso di altezza 1,60 m, 13 ostacoli per 16 salti, una sequenza di salti, …impossibile riprendere fiato! Il successore di Patrice Delaveau, vincitore dell’edizione 2014, non avrebbe avuto compito facile. 36 cavalieri in totali: tutti aspiravano al gradino più alto del podio del Longines Grand Prix. Il percorso disegnato da Guilherme Jorge (BRA) e Luc Musette (BEL) ha dosato saggiamente le diverse difficoltà. 12 binomi sono usciti senza penalità dal primo giro. Il pubblico entusiasta sosteneva i cavalieri durante la seconda manche. Marco Kutscher (GER) con Cornet’s Cristallo è entrato in campo subito dopo Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA), che aveva appena realizzato un tempo eccellente (44,77 sec.), senza esitare e cercando di cogliere l’occasione, Marco Kutscher si è piazzato in pole position con un tempo di 44,47 sec. Supportato da un pubblico scatenato, Sergio Alvarez Moya (ESP), penultimo ad entrare, ha fatto di tutto per aggiudicarsi la prova, sfortunatamente però si è piazzato solo al secondo posto con un tempo di 44,57, appena davanti al brasiliano. Il miglior francese, Timothée Anciaume su Olympic Libellule ha terminato al quinto posto.
