La LEOMA DIAMANT produce e progetta dal 1982
utensili superabrasivi in Diamante e CBN (Borazon®)
a legante galvanico (elettrodepositati) resinoide per
l’industria meccanica di precisione, aereospaziale, automobilistica, nautica, per i settori di lavorazione dei
compositi, plastici rinforzati, vetroresine e lavorazione
della pietra.
Disponiamo di una vasta gamma di utensili standard
in pronta consegna (molette gambo 3mm e 6mm,
limette, dischi da taglio, mole su gambo sagomate)
e realizziamo in tempi brevi utensili speciali su vostro
disegno o li progettiamo in base alle vostre esigenze.
Si effettua la sdiamantatura ridiamantatura di particolari in contolavoro.
Il nostro sistema di produzione ci permette di effettuare
riporti di diamante dai piccoli diametri (0,5/1 mm) ai
grandi diametri (max diam 1000mm).
Con la nuova tecnologia AVT (Advanced Vacuum Technology) realizziamo utensili dalle prestazioni eccezionali per le applicazioni più svariate.
LEOMA DIAMANT srl produces and plans from the 1982
superabrasives tools in Diamond and CBN (Borazon®)
electroplated and resin bond for the mechanical
industry of precision, aerospace, automotive, nautical,
for the composites and similar processing, plastic
reinforced and glass-reinforced plastics processing and
stone processing too.
We also have a large range of standards tools in ready
delivery (grinding wheels shank 3mm and 6mm,
files, cutting discs) and realize in short times special
tools on your design or we plan them based on your
requirements.
We can also replate used tools and restore them to as
close to the original specifications as is possible.
With our flexible manufacturing platform we can
produce the widest variety of styles and sizes to meet
your abrasive tooling needs, from small diameter
0,5/1 mm up to big diameter of 1000mm.
With new technology AVT (Advanced Vacuum
Technology) we can realize exceptional performances
tools for the varied applications.

osservanza delle norme di Legge vigenti in materia d’igiene e sicurezza sul lavoro.

I SUPERABRASIVI
SUPERABRASIVES
I materiali detti superabrasivi sono:
• il Diamante
• il CBN (Borazon®), nitruro di boro cubico
Superabrasives materials are:
• Diamond
• CBN (Borazon®), cubic boron nitride
L’attribuzione di “superabrasivi” deriva dal fatto che la loro
durezza è decisamente superiore a quella degli abrasivi
tradizionali, ossia il corindone, il carburo di silicio, ecc.
Il Diamante ha durezza 10 nella scala di Mohs, il CBN è di poco
inferiore. Nella scala di Knoop il Diamante ha durezza di oltre
8500 Kg/mm2 circa, il CBN oltre 4500 Kg/mm2.
Esistono diverse tipologie di Diamante, a partire da quello
presente in natura, e quindi detto “Diamante naturale”, alle
diverse varietà che vengono prodotte industrialmente, dette
“Diamante sintetico”.
Il CBN invece non esiste in natura: è unicamente prodotto
industrialmente.
The assignment of “superabrasives” derives from the fact
that their hardness is significantly higher than all other
conventional abrasives, such as corundum, carbide silicon, etc.
The Diamond has hardness 10 in the Mohs scale, the CBN is
slightly lower. In the scale of “Knoop hardness”, the Diamond
has over 8500 Kg/mm2, the CBN more than 4500 Kg / mm2.
There are different types of Diamond: when it’s naturally
occurring, it’s called “natural Diamond”. Other different
varieties are produced industrially, and called “synthetic
Diamond”.
The CBN does not exist in nature: it’s only produced
industrially.
La produzione consiste nell’applicare elevatissime pressioni
ad alte temperature al Carbonio puro, che si trasforma così in
Diamante, o al Boro ed all’Azoto, che sintetizzano in Nitruro
di Boro cubico. Le differenti condizioni di sinterizzazione
applicate permettono di produrre superabrasivi con differenti
caratteristiche di taglio e friabilità.
The production consist to apply very high pressures at high
temperatures to pure carbon, which then turns into Diamond,
or to nitrogen and Boro, which are transformed in cubic boron nitride. The different sintering conditions applied can
produce superabrasives with different characteristics about
cutting and friability.

Grazie alla sua enorme durezza, il Diamante è indicato
soprattutto per la lavorazione dei seguenti materiali:
• Tutti i tipi di metallo duro

• Pietre preziose e semi-preziose

Thanks to its enormous hardness, Diamond is used mainly for
machining the following materials:
• All types of carbide
• Technical ceramics (cermets)
• Ossiceramic and not ossiceramic materials
• Abrasives materials
•Reinforced fibers synthetic materials (fiberglass, carbon
fiber)
• Composites
• PCD / PCB
• Sapphire / glass
• Ferrite / Graphite
• Ferrous alloys hardness greater than about 45 Hrc
• Gemstones and semi-precious stones
• Marble, travertine, granite, construction stones
L’acciaio ha una grande affinità con il carbonio, e poiché il
Diamante è composto di carbonio puro, non è indicato per la
lavorazione dell’acciaio. Infatti nel punto di contatto del grano
di Diamante con il materiale in lavorazione si raggiungono
temperature elevate, e l’acciaio sottrae al Diamante atomi di
carbonio. Questo provoca la distruzione del grano di Diamante,
che si trasforma in grafite cambiando stato cristallino.
Nella lavorazione di materiali ferrosi si utilizza il CBN.
The steel has a great affinity with carbon, and since the
Diamond is composed of pure carbon, is not suitable for
machining steel. In fact the point of contact between the
grain of the Diamond and the working material can reach
high temperatures, and steel subtracts the Diamond
carbon atoms. This causes the destruction of the grain of
Diamond, which is transformed into graphite.
In the machining of ferrous materials shall be used the CBN.
CBN (nitruro di boro cubico)
CBN (cubic boron nitride)
Il CBN è composto dagli elementi boro e azoto. Nel CBN non è
presente alcun atomo di carbonio e questo, al contrario del
Diamante, lo rende indicato per la lavorazione dell’acciaio.
Con il CBN è possibile lavorare i seguenti materiali:
The CBN is made up of the elements boron and nitrogen.
In the CBN does not have an atom of carbon and that,
unlike the Diamond, making it suitable for machining.
The CBN is possible to work the following materials:
• Acciai temperati a partire da una durezza di ca. 54 Hrc
• HSS (Acciaio rapido)
• Stellite
• Superleghe a base di nickel
• Tempered steels at hardness of approx. 54 Hrc and more
• HSS (High Speed Steel)
• Stellite
• Superalloys based on nickel
Il CBN vanta un considerevole vantaggio rispetto al Diamante
in fatto di stabilità termica. Mentre il Diamante a circa 700°C
presenta una notevole perdita di durezza, il CBN mantiene quasi
invariata la sua durezza anche a più di 1000°C, e quindi può
essere utilizzato in condizioni molto più gravose.
The CBN has a considerable advantage compared to Diamond
in terms of thermal stability. While the Diamond at about
700°C presents a considerable loss of hardness, CBN remains
almost unchanged its hardness to more than 1000°C, and
therefore can be used in a much more hard conditions.

DIMENSIONE DELLA GRANA
La grossezza dei grani di superabrasivo
viene classificata secondo la normativa FEPA
(Federazione Europea dei Produttori di Abrasivi).
Il numero che identifica la grana è indice della
larghezza nominale delle maglie del setaccio,
ed indica all’incirca il diametro del singolo grano
misurato in micron (millesimi di millimetro).
Quindi un numero alto definisce una grana
grossa, e viceversa (Tab. 1).
Gli utensili prodotti dalla Leoma Diamant srl
seguono la classificazione della FEPA, facendo
precedere il numero indicante la grana dalla
lettera “D” in caso di utensili in Diamante (es.
D427), dalla lettera “B” in caso di CBN (es.
B76). La dimensione del grano determina
notevolmente l’efficienza di asportazione
degli utensili abrasivi e soprattutto la qualità
superficiale ottenibile nel pezzo lavorato. In
linea di massima, i grani più grossi permettono
di ottenere una maggiore asportazione, ma
penalizzano la qualità della finitura superficiale.
Con i grani più fini si ottengono superfici di
qualità migliore, ma con un minor rendimento
di asportazione. Questi risultati opposti rispetto
alla superficie comportano spesso l’esigenza di
dover effettuare una operazione di sgrossatura e
una di finitura in numerosi processi di rettifica.
ACCRESCIMENTI
L’applicazione dei grani abrasivi sulla superficie
del supporto comporta una variazione delle
quote di cui occorre tener conto nella costruzione
del semilavorato per ottenere un “finito” delle
dimensioni desiderate.
La Tab. 2 fornisce, a titolo indicativo, queste
informazioni.
RUGOSITÁ
Nella Tab. 3 si riportano i valori indicativi della
rugosità ottenibile con le diverse granulometrie
nella lavorazione di rettifica cilindrica dell’acciaio.
REFRIGERANTI
È consentito l’utilizzo a secco degli utensili
superabrasivi, purché si abbia l’accortezza di
permettere di tanto in tanto il raffreddamento
dell’utensile facendolo girare a vuoto. Tuttavia,
l’uso di un adeguato refrigerante, prolunga la
vita dell’utensile e permette spesso di ottenere
migliori risultati in termini di finitura. In tal caso,
per ottenere i migliori risultati, si consiglia l’uso
dei seguenti refrigeranti:
•per il Diamante acqua con addizione di
antiossidanti
•per il CBN olio solfoclorurato o prodotti esenti
da acqua

GRANA FEPA
GRIT DIMENSION
The thickness of the grains of superabrasives
is classified under the law FEPA (Federation
of European Producers of Abrasives). The
number that identifies the grit size is an
indication of the breadth of nominal mesh
sieve, and indicate roughly the diameter
of each grain measured in microns
(thousandths of a millimeter). So a high
number defines a coarse grit size, and viceversa (Tab. 1).
The tools produced by Leoma Diamant
srl follow the classification of the FEPA,
preceded the number indicating the grain
by the letter “D” in the case of Diamond
tools (example D427), the letter “B” in case
of CBN tools (example B76). The size of the
grain greatly determines the efficiency of
removal of abrasive tools and especially the
surface quality achievable in the workpiece.
In general, with coarse grit size we obtain a
higher removal, but penalizing the quality
of surface finish. With the fine grit size
are obtained good surfaces quality, but
with a lower efficiency of removal. Due to
these results opposite often need to do an
operation of roughing and one of finishing
in many processes.
INCREASES
The application of abrasive grains on the
surface of the blank results in a dimensional
variation due to the grit size.
This change should be considered in the
construction of the blank to get a “finished”
in size. The Tab. 2 provides, for example,
this information.
ROUGHNESS
The Tab. 3 illustrates the approximates
values of the roughness obtained with
different grit sizes in the machining of
cylindrical grinding of steel.
CUTTING FLUIDS
It’s permitted to use dry the superabrasives
tools, provided they have the foresight to
allow time to time cooling the tool making
it turn blank. However, the use of a suitable
refrigerant, longer life and often allows for
better outcomes in terms of finishing. In
this case, for best results, we recommend
the use of the following refrigerants:
•for Diamond water with addition of
antioxidants
•for CBN sulfo-chlorinated oil or water-free
products
Electroplated tools consist in a single layer of superabrasives grains (Diamond or CBN) fixed on the blanck by
a nickel galvanic process. The thickness of the layer of
nickel depending by the thickness of the grain so that it
projects for about half its diameter. The individual grains
are firmly held, but partially exposed respect to the tool
surface, so it’s very aggressive and has ample space for
the discharge of the “chip”.
The profile of the electroplated tools is totally covered by
a single layer of superabrasives grains. For these is not
possible to perform operations dressing and/or correction, but is possible create
tools with complex profile.
The worn tools can be regenerated with a process that
allows removal of superabrasives without alteration
of the support steel.
This is especially convenient in the case of complex
or big dimensions tools.
Electroplated TOOLS
Gli utensili elettrodepositati (ED) consistono in un unico strato
di grani di superabrasivo fissati galvanicamente da nichel sul
supporto metallico in acciaio. Lo spessore dello strato di nichel è
adeguato alla grossezza del grano in modo che lo stesso sporga
per circa metà del suo diametro. I singoli grani sono saldamente
trattenuti, ma poiché sporgono ampiamente rispetto alla superficie dell’utensile, lo stesso risulta molto aggressivo e dotato
di ampi spazi per lo scarico del “truciolo”.
Il profilo degli utensili ED riprende quello del supporto base
metallico, in quanto vi è un unico strato di grani. Per questi
utensili non è quindi possibile eseguire operazioni di ravvivatura e/o rettifica, ma è possibile
realizzare utensili dal profilo
complesso.
Gli utensili usurati possono
essere rigenerati con un processo che permette l’asportazione del superabrasivo
consumato senza alterazione
del supporto in acciaio. Tale
operazione risulta particolarmente conveniente in caso di
utensili complessi e/o di grandi dimensioni.

Il gambo in metallo duro possiede un modulo di
elasticità quasi triplo rispetto al gambo in acciaio. Per
questo le molette con gambo in metallo duro nella
rettifica interna permettono di ottenere asportazione
maggiore, superfici migliori e maggiore durata
dell’utensile.

times the steel shank. For this the grinding wheels with

La pasta diamantata è prodotta con polveri di Diamante
di alta qualità.
La selezione delle polveri come pure la qualità e la
purezza del Diamante sono scrupolosamente controllati
nella preparazione della pasta diamantata.
La corretta scelta della granulometria dipende
dall’applicazione.
Produciamo due tipi di pasta diamantata:
Pasta di tipo PD/S: a formulazione anidra (senza
acqua) indicata per lavorazioni specifiche dell’industria
meccanica.
Pasta di tipo PD/A: a base acquosa, di facile
asportazione dopo la lavorazione, indicata per
laboratori metallografici.

The Diamond compound is made with Diamond of high
quality.
The quality and purity of the Diamond is carefully
controlled in the preparation of Diamond paste.
The proper choice of particle size depends by the
application.
We produce two types of Diamond paste:

Type PD/A: water based compound, easy to remove

Negli utensili AVT (Advanced Vacuum Tools) l’unico strato di superabrasivo è fissato al corpo metallico mediante un’operazione
di brasatura eseguita in particolari condizioni di bassa pressione. Il risultato è che il grano risulta molto più esposto rispetto
agli utensili elettrodepositati. I vantaggi sono:
• maggiore aggressività, specie con le grosse granulometrie
• maggiore durata (da 3 a 5 volte)
• minori costi di manutenzione (il minore sforzo durante il taglio
prolunga la durata dell’utensile e riduce gli interventi)
• possibilità di utilizzo anche su graniti di media durezza

In the AVT tools the single layer of superabrasives is fixed to the
blank by a metal brazing, performed in conditions of low pressure. The result is that the grain is much more exposed than in
the electroplated tools.
The advantages are:
• greater aggressiveness, especially with coarse grit sizes
• greater duration (3 to 5 times than electroplated)
• lower costs of maintenance (less fatigue during the process
extended tool life and reduces the maintenance action)
• Allowed for use on granite of medium hardness
Exist some disadvantages,
which are not the convenience
of regeneration, some dimensional limitations, the difficulty in creating tools with
fine grit size.

pietra: marmi, graniti, e similari.

CONDIZIONI GENERALI DI VENDITA
TERMS OF SALES
PREMESSA
Le seguenti condizioni si intendono conosciute dal Cliente, e pertanto ogni ordine ne comporta l’implicita
accettazione ed il conseguente annullamento delle Condizioni di acquisto proposte dallo stesso.
PRELIMINARY REMARKS
The following conditions are known by the custom-madeer, and therefore every order it involves the implicit
acceptance and subsequent cancellation of the Terms of the purchase proposals from it.
CONTRATTO DI VENDITA
Il contratto di vendita si riterrà concluso presso la LEOMA DIAMANT Srl con l’accettazione degli ordini, sia
diretti che effettuati tramite ns. incaricati. Ordini di utensili speciali o a disegno del Cliente devono essere
inviati per iscritto e non potranno essere annullati dalla ditta committente.
PREZZI
Sono espressi in Euro, al netto di IVA e tasse varie, salvo errori e/od omissioni, e vanno intesi Franco ns. Sede,
imballo escluso. Gli stessi hanno la validità indicata sul Listino. In caso di utensili non a catalogo, la validità
da considerare sarà quella indicata nell’offerta o nella conferma d’ordine.
TRASPORTI
La merce viaggia sempre a rischio e pericolo e per conto dell’acquirente. Pertanto la LEOMA DIAMANT Srl non
è responsabile di deterioramenti, avarie, ritardi, multe o altri pregiudizi diretti od indiretti o danni di qualsiasi
specie che dovessero intervenire durante il trasporto. La merce trasportata non è assicurata dal venditore a meno
che non sia espressamente pattuito tra le parti.
MERCI INVIATE IN CONTO LAVORAZIONE
Non saranno accettate merci inviate in conto lavorazione in porto assegnato se non precedentemente
concordato. La responsabilità della LEOMA DIAMANT Srl è limitata alla lavorazione eseguita. In tal senso,
ogni difetto risultante da vizi occulti o meno del materiale inviato, non sarà imputabile alla LEOMA
DIAMANT Srl.
IMBALLI
L’imballo è normalmente compreso nel prezzo. La merce da spedire viene imballata secondo le usanze
commerciali con esclusione di ogni responsabilità a carico della LEOMA DIAMANT Srl. Tuttavia, qualora per
dimensioni o complessità o fragilità particolari dell’utensile si rendesse necessaria la costruzione di imballi
speciali, il costo degli stessi sarà a carico del Cliente.
RECLAMI
Sono accettati unicamente se perverranno per iscritto entro 7 giorni dal ricevimento della merce da parte
del Cliente.
RESI
I resi sono accettati unicamente se preventivamente concordati ed autorizzati. Sarà accreditata solo la merce
standard, in nessun caso danneggiata e resa nel proprio imballo.
GARANZIA
Il materiale riconosciuto difettoso non oltre 12 mesi dalla fornitura sarà sostituito o riparato gratuitamente.
In caso di materiale dimostratosi difettoso a causa di uso errato e/o improprio, o da deterioramento o
da incidenti conseguenti all’installazione, adattamento, modifica o uso del prodotto e, in generale, per
tutti i danni indiretti, la garanzia non potrà essere applicata. In caso di controversia, la perizia tecnica del
costruttore sarà inappellabile.
DIRITTO DI RIFIUTARE LA FORNITURA
Qualora cause di forza maggiore ed ulteriori circostanze, anche di natura politica che impediscano il regolare
approvvigionamento od il libero uso di materie prime o mezzi di lavoro, consentono al venditore, a sua
scelta, di spostare i termini di consegna per l’intera fornitura o per parte di essa o anche recedere in tutto od
in parte dal contratto, senza che ciò dia al compratore alcuna pretesa nei confronti della LEOMA DIAMANT
Srl. Quale caso di forza maggiore sono da considerare anche gli incidenti (sul lavoro, malattie, ecc.) ed ogni
altra circostanza dalla quale può dipendere una totale o parziale riduzione di lavoro, nonché la mancanza di
materie prime, difficoltà di trasporto e nell’approvvigionamento dell’energia elettrica. Qualora il venditore
non abbia receduto, a seguito di intervento o cause di forza maggiore dal contratto, resta fermo l’impegno
del compratore a ritirare la merce nonostante la ritardata fornitura.
FATTURAZIONE
La fatturazione è normalmente effettuata l’ultimo giorno lavorativo del mese di spedizione della merce.
La fattura è riepilogativa dei Documenti di trasporto del mese, salvo disposizioni diverse. È cura del
committente verificare l’esattezza dei dati fiscali ed anagrafici.
PAGAMENTI
Le condizioni di pagamento sono stabilite all’atto dell’ordine o della successiva conferma da parte della LEOMA
DIAMANT Srl. La valuta di fatturazione è tassativa per l’esecuzione dei pagamenti, il pagamento deve essere
effettuato senza l’applicazione di sconti, arrotondamenti o riduzioni non concordate per scritto. In caso di insoluti
o ritardi di pagamento, vengono sospesi ordini e spedizioni sino all’avvenuto pagamento. Per ritardati pagamenti
decorrono gli interessi commerciali.

SALES CONTRACT
The sales contract is deemed concluded at the LEOMA DIAMANT Srl with the acceptance of orders, direct or
effected through our agents. Orders for special tools or based on drawing of the Custom-madeer must put
down in writing and shall not be canceled by the Custom-madeer.
PRICES
Are expressed in Euro, excluding VAT and/or various taxes, except errors and/or omissions, and shall be
considered Ex-Works, excluding packaging. They have the validity indicated on the list. In the case of tools not
in the catalog, the validity to be considered will be indicated in the offer or in the order confirmation.
TRANSPORT
The goods always travel at your own risk and on behalf of the purchaser. Therefore, LEOMA DIAMANT Srl is
not responsible for deterioration, damage, delays, fines or other direct or indirect damage or damage of any
kind which may intervene during the transport. The goods transported are not insured by the seller unless it is
expressly agreed between the parties.
GOODS TO WORK IN PROCESS
Goods to work in process will be accepted only if sent under previously agreed. The responsibility for LEOMA
DIAMANT Srl is limited to work performed. In that sense, any defect arising from defective or less of the
material submitted, you will not be attributable to LEOMA DIAMANT Srl.
PACKING
The packing is normally included in the price. The goods to be shipped is packaged according to commercial
practices to the exclusion of any liability to the seller. However, if the size or complexity, or special weakness
of the tool required the construction of special packaging, the cost thereof will be charged to the custommadeer.
COMPLAINTS
Complaints are accepted only if received in writing within 7 days of receipt of goods by the Custom-madeer.
RETURNS
Returns are accepted only if agreed in advance and authorized. Will be credited only standard goods, not
damaged under any circumstances and in its packaging.
WARRANTY
The material defective recognized within 12 months from the provision will be replaced or repaired free of
charge. In the case of material proved defective due to misuse, or deterioration or accidents resulting from
installation, adjustment, alteration or use of the product and, in general, for all damages, the warranty can not
be applied. In case of dispute the technical expertise of the manufacturer shall be final.
RIGHT TO REFUSE THE DELIVERY
If due to force majeure and other circumstances, even a political one to prevent the smooth supply or the free
use of raw materials or means of work, allowing the seller, at its option, to move the delivery date for the
supply or a part of it or terminate in whole or in part by the contract, but will not give the buyer any claim
against the seller.
INVOICING
Invoicing is normally made on the last working day of the month. The Invoice summarizing the transport of the
month, except as otherwise provided. It’s care of the custom-madeer to verify the accuracy of tax information
and details.
PAYMENTS
The payment terms are specified at the time of or subsequent confirmation by the LEOMA DIAMANT Srl.
The billing currency is mandatory for the execution of payments, payment shall be made without the application
of discounts, rebates or rounding is not agreed in writing. In the case of unpaid or late payments the orders and
shipment are suspended until paid. For delayed payments will be applied the commercial interests.
RISERVA DI PROPRIETÀ
Fino ad avvenuto integrale pagamento di qualsiasi credito derivante dai rapporti d’affari, compreso ogni credito
accessorio e fino ad avvenuto pagamento degli effetti e/o degli assegni consegnati, la proprietà della merce resta
riservata alla LEOMA DIAMANT Srl. La riserva di proprietà non esclude il diritto del compratore di usare o alienare la
merce nell’ambito del normale svolgimento della sua attività. Il compratore non può cedere in garanzia o sottoporre
a pegno la merce oggetto della riserva di proprietà. In caso di lavorazione di merce su cui grava la riserva di proprietà,
nel senso che la stessa venga trasformata in un nuovo oggetto, la trasformazione ha luogo a spese del compratore.
TITLE RETENTION
Until full payment of any debt arising from business relationships, including any credit enhancement and to
payment of bills and / or checks delivered, the ownership of the goods remains reserved to LEOMA DIAMANT
Srl. The retention of title does not exclude the right of the buyer to use or dispose of the goods in the normal
conduct of its business.
FORO COMPETENTE
Per ogni controversia, si intende eletto il Domicilio presso il Foro di Torino.
JURISDICTION
For every dispute, is elected domicile at the Court of Turin, Italy.

Si effettua la sdiamantatura ridiamantatura di particolari in contolavoro.
Il nostro sistema di produzione ci permette di effettuare
riporti di diamante dai piccoli diametri (0,5/1 mm) ai
grandi diametri (max diam 1000mm).
Con la nuova tecnologia AVT (Advanced Vacuum Technology) realizziamo utensili dalle prestazioni eccezionali per le applicazioni più svariate.
