Route description
Departure from Feltre in bike-bus to Passo Falzarego, along the way we can admire the most beautiful peaks of the
Dolomites, a UNESCO Heritage Site (Civetta, Pelmo and Marmolada, Tofane etc). From the pass (2019 m above sea
level) we will go up by cable car to Monte Lagazuoi (2,800 m), a spectacular terrace overlooking the most beautiful
peaks of Italy. Upon returning to the pass, we will begin the long descent (15 km) to Cortina d’Ampezzo “pearl
of the Dolomites” where a walk in Corso Italia is a must. From there we will start along the path of the old railway
towards San Vito. Along the way, the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites will capture our attention, the spectacle
of Valle del Boite will be before our eyes until San Vito with its tourist centre and Lago di Mosigo. The old stations
that are located along the route of the old railway are characteristic of the town. Between San Vito and Calalzo
there are numerous ideas for stops: the church of Borca di Cadore, the Varettoni mill in Vodo, the lake of Valle di
Cadore and the historic centre of Pieve di Cadore. A fantastic, slightly downhill ride along the lake to reach Calalzo.
