Dopo un percorso di studi classici e musicali compiuti presso l’Università degli studi di Urbino e il Conservatorio di Musica «G. Rossini» di Pesaro, si è specializzata nel campo della musica greca antica in Inghilterra con il Prof. Andrew Barker. Dal 1999 lavora presso la FACOLTÀ DI MUSICOLOGIA di Cremona (UNIVERSITÀ DEGLI STUDI DI PAVIA), dove è attualmente ricercatore in Lingua e Letteratura greca. È membro dell’International Study‐group on Music Archeology (ISGMA) e per il quadriennio 2008‐
2011 è stata membro della Kommission für antike Literatur und lateinische Tradition della ÖSTERREICHISCHEN AKADEMIE DER WISSENSCHAFTEN. Dal 2005 coordina e partecipa in qualità di key‐note speaker ai Seminars on Ancient Greek and Roman Music, seminari annuali dedicati allo studio di testi e temi legati alla musica greca e romana antica organizzati dal Dipartimento di Musica della IONIAN UNIVERSITY DI CORFÙ (http://conferences.ionio.gr/sagrm/2011/en/home). È tra i soci fondatori di MOISA: INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR THE STUDY OF GREEK AND ROMAN MUSIC AND ITS CULTURAL HERITAGE (http://www.moisasociety.org), nel cui ambito ha ricoperto il ruolo di segretario e tesoriere fino a gennaio 2012. Fa parte dell’editorial board di Greek and Roman Musical Studies, rivista scientifica dedicata all musica nelle civiltà greca e romana pubblicata da Brill (http://www.brill.com/publications/journals/greek‐and‐roman‐musical‐studies).
