Table 3 illustrates corrective coefficients to be applied to the temperature difference between water to and from the heat exchangers. Table4 shows the correction factors to be applied to the nominal values of the cooling capacity and total input power. Table 5 (operation with glycol and water solution) shows the corrective coefficients to be applied to the nominal values. Table 6 shows the sound pressure and power emitted by units. Table 7 sows the pressure drops by the external circuit. The curves indicate the permissible upper and lower limits of water flow values to guarantee proper machine operation. The values obtained in the tables are to be corrected according to the average water temperature, as shown in the tables below the diagrams. Table 8 shows the pressure drop by the water filter (supplied as standard). The curves indicate the permissible upper and lower limits of water flow values to guarantee proper machine operation. Tables 9 and 10 illustrate the settings of control and protective devices on the machine. For electrical data, refer to chapter “Electrical diagrams”. The values of the coefficients can be obtained from the curves traced in Tab. 1 (Tab. 2 for moto-evaporating units). Each value of the water temperature produced by the condenser marks a point on the curve indicating the correction coefficients, used according to the water temperature produced by the evaporator. Twc = Tw + ∆tc = 25 + 5 = 30 °C Making reference to the curves in table 1 we have Twc = 30 °C and Twe = 7 °C, so we can find out the following coefficients: Cf = 1,05 Ca = 0,88 A unit with a heating capacity of 38 kW in these conditions will in nominal conditions have a yield of: Pf = 8 / 1,05 ≈ 7,6 kW The following model can therefore be proposed: VENICE 25 Qwe (l/h) = [(Pf x 860) / ∆te] * = 1.479 l/h Qwc (l/h) = {[(Pf + Pa) x 860] / ∆tc} * = 1.826 l/h Volendo ridurre la portata d’acqua da inviare al condensatore si potrebbe lavorare con un ∆tc = 10 °C, pertanto: Twc = 25 + 10 = 35 °C La tabella Dati Tecnici con Twc = 35 °C e Twe = 7 °C sempre per l’unità VENICE 25 fornisce: In this case the unit will ensure the following performance: Heating capacity = 8,2 x 1,05 = 8,6 kW Absorbed power = 2,3 x 0,92 = 2,02 kW E.E.R. = 4,25 W/W The water flows to the two exchangers for an ∆t of 5 °C can be easily calculated as follows: Qwe (l/h) = [(Pf x 860) / ∆te] * = 1.479 l/h Qwc (l/h) = {[(Pf + Pa) x 860] / ∆tc} * = 1.826 l/h To reduce water flow to the condenser, an ∆tc = 10 °C could be used, thus: Twc = 25 + 10 = 35 °C The Technical Data with Twc = 35 °C and Twe = 7 °C in the VENICE 25 unit supplies: Pf = potenza frigorifera = 8,2 kW Pa = potenza assorbita = 2,3 kW Pf = potenza frigorifera = 8,2 kW Pa = potenza assorbita = 2,3 kW Potenze che devono però essere corrette con i fattori di correzione ricavabili dalla Tavola 3, in quanto si lavora con ∆t diversi dai 5 °C. In this case, table 3 indicates for the evaporator with ∆te = 5 °C: Fc Pf = 1 Fc Pa = 1 while the condenser at ∆tc = 10 °C Fc Pf = 1.01 Fc Pa =0.99 therefore the effective power ratings are: Pf = 8,2 x 1 x 1,01 = 8,28 kW Pa = 2,3 x 1 x 0,99 = 2,27 kW Twc temperatura uscita scambiatore (con funzione di condensatore) Twe temperatura uscita scambiatore (con funzione di evaporatore) In this case the flow rates in l/h to be supplied to the exchangers; : Qwe = 1.424 l/h Qwc = 907 l/h According to the flow, Table 7 can determine the pressure drop values of the exchangers with reference to an average water temperature of 10 °C; the values are corrected by the multiplication coefficients at the bottom of table 7 for different average temperatures. In this case: Tme = average temperature of evaporator water = (Twe+(Twe+∆te))/2 = 10 °C therefore the correction factor is equal to the unit, Tmc = average temperature of condenser water = (Tw +Twc)/2 = 30 °C therefore the correction factor is equal to 0.95. ∆pe = evaporator pressure drop (Qwe = 1,424 l/h) = Value given by tab. 7 x correction coeff.= 4,7 kPa ∆pc = condenser pressure drop (Qwc = 907 l/h) = Value given by tab. 7 x correction coeff.= 3,8 kPa The pressure drop by the filter (table 8) are added to the evaporator pressure drop. (*) In the case of heat pump operation, table 2 indicates the heating capacity and the absorbed power values according to Twe and Twc; for flow to the exchangers, use the following formulas: Qwc (l/h) = [(Pt x 860) / ∆tc] Qwe (l/h) = {[(Pt - Pa) x 860] / ∆te} Heat exchanger inlet/outlet difference (∆tc) (with condenser function): min: 5 max: 15 Heat exchanger inlet/outlet difference (∆te) (with evaporator function): min: 3 max: 10 Twc heat exchanger output temperature (with condenser function) Twe heat exchanger output temperature (with evaporator function) 17 C CR RIITTEER RII D DII S SC CEELLTTA A • S SEELLEEC CTTIIO ON N C CR RIITTEER RIIA A VENICE 25 In questo caso la macchina avrà le seguenti prestazioni: Potenza frigorifera = 8,2 x 1,05 = 8,6 kW Potenza assorbita = 2,3 x 0,88 = 2,02 kW E.E.R. = Funzionamento con acqua glicolata Operation with glycole mix The operating limits diagram refers to an ∆t of 5 °C on the evaporator and the condenser (applies to units fitted with condenser). The units are standard conditioned for shipment in polystyrene casing inside a cardboard box on a wooden pallet. Before moving the unit, make sure that it has not suffered any damage during transport and make sure that the lifting and positioning equipment to be used has an adequate capacity and that it complies with current safety regulations. VENICE series units are designed for indoor installation in a specifically prepared area guaranteeing adequate clearance for maintenance operations (routine and special) and for operation requirements (i.e. allowing air intake around the sides and delivery from above). To ensure correct operation, install the unit on a perfectly horizontal surface. Make sure that the support surface is able to withstand the weight of the machine. The unit is constructed from galvanised sheet metal and painted with stoved polyester. No additional protective means are required by the unit. Mod. 32 BEFORE START-UP Before start-up we recommend the following checks: – installation properly filled and bled of all air; – wiring connections made correctly; – voltage supply falls within permitted tolerances (±10% of nominal); At least 24 hours before start-up the unit must be powered to allow the compressor crankcase heater (only for AN H) to evaporate any refrigerant present in the oil. Inobservance of this precaution can cause serious damage to the compressor and invalidity of the warranty. UNIT START-UP For detailed information regarding the operating parameter settings and all other machine or control card operations, consult the user manual. FILLING / DRAINING THE INSTALLATION If the unit is shut down during winter, the water in the exchanger could freeze, causing irreperable damage to the exchanger itself, discharging of the refrigerant circuits and even damage to the compressors. To avoid the risk of freezing there are three possible solutions: 1) completely drain the exchanger of all water at the end of the season and refill at the beginning of the next season of operation. 2) operation with glycol in the water, with a percentage of glycol according to the minimum ambient temperature that is foreseen. In this case you must account for the differences in performance and absorption of the chiller, sizing of the pumps and terminal unit capacities. In either case the exchanger on the external circuit must be discharged as per point 1. REQUIREMENTS FOR GAS R407C Water chillers using coolant gas R407C require special attention during assembly and maintenance operations to prevent operating faults from arising. Observe the following requirements: - Do not top up the oil with a type that is different from that already precharged in the compressor. - In the event that a gas leak has discharged the chiller, do not top up with the coolant fluid; discharge the machine completely, apply a vacuum, then recharge with the quantity specified. - Do not leave the cooling circuit open for more than 15 minutes when replacing parts. - When replacing the compressor, complete the operation within the time specified above (after having removed the rubber plugs). - Do not power up the compressor when under vacuum; do not compress air inside the compressor. Using R407C gas bottle take care to the maximum number of allowed drawings in order to ensure the correct proportioning of R407C gas. MALFUNCTIONS In the event of unit malfunctions (alarm blocks), after having eliminated the cause of the block, reset the unit.
