The Energy Plaza hosts the forum - organized by QUINE - the video exhibition of the 24
projects that have been chosen by SAIE, and workshop. In addition on 6th October, award
ceremony of the most innovative products at SAIE.

Roma Tre and Sapienza, participating in the competition SolarDecathlon Europe 2012 and

Con il sostegno della Regione Emilia Romagna, la Piazza si arricchisce quest’anno di
una mostra, a cura di GBCItalia, di progetti in corso di certificazione LEED nonché di un
collegamento diretto con GreenBuild – International Conference and Expo – che si tiene a
Toronto negli stessi giorni di SAIE.
SUSTAINABILITY PLAZA - REGIONE EMILIA- ROMAGNA AREA
This year, thanks to the support of the Regional Council of Emilia Romagna, Sustainability
Plaza will include an exhibition, held by Green Building Council Italy, where projects that are
being certified by LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) will be displayed.
At the same time there will be a direct link with GreenBuild – International Conference and
Expo – held in Toronto at the same time as SAIE, to bring to Bologna the opinions of the
leading experts on green building and to enable a long distance dialogue with them.

At SAIE 2011 NEW STONE AGE DESIGN is a proper “Collection”, showcasing some of the
most interesting and best designed works in stone, conceived during a three-year partnership
between SAIE, Confindustria Marmomacchine and Pietra Naturale.

PIAZZA DEL LATERIZIO E DELLA CERAMICA TRA INNOVAZIONE E SOSTENIBILITÁ
Area espositiva di oltre 1000 mq nel padiglione di LATERSAIE - Salone del Laterizio - per
mostrare le più recenti novità tecniche, strutturali e di rispetto dell’ambiente delle diverse
tipologie di prodotti in laterizio e in ceramica. Nella Piazza un nutrito programma di seminari
a cura di FEDERCERLAT - ANDIL E CONFINDUSTRIA CERAMICA per illustrare le innovazioni
nei due settori.
PLAZA OF HEAVY CLAY AND CERAMIC FOR INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY
Hall 22 of LATERSAIE will include over 1000 m2 of exhibition space to display the most recent
technical, structural and environmentally friendly innovations in the field of brick and ceramic
products. The Plaza will host a robust programme of seminars, organised by FEDERCERLAT
- ANDIL and CONFINDUSTRIA CERAMICA, to illustrate the innovations in both sectors.

“LABELLARCHITETTURA - com’è andata a finire”
Il Modern Corner ospiterà la mostra “LABELLARCHITETTURA”, risultato di un censimento di
progetti realizzati sulla base di un Concorso, negli ultimi 10 anni in Italia, nato in collaborazione
con il sito Europaconcorsi, il cui scopo è far vedere che un’alt(r)a Architettura è possibile.
7 ottobre, saranno invitati a illustrare i loro lavori tre gruppi di progettisti selezionati.
6 ottobre, Aldo Cibic presenterà i risultati del Concorso internazionale “Verso Rural City”.
MODERN CORNER - Order of Architects of Bologna.
“BEAUTIFULARCHITECTURE – how did it all end?”
The Modern Corner will host the exhibition “LABELLARCHITETTURA” BeautifulArchitecture,
which is the result of a census of projects that in the past 10 years have entered competitions
in Italy in cooperation with the site Europaconcorsi. The purpose of the exhibition is to show
that an alternative approach to architecture is possible. Three groups of designers have been
selected and invited to demonstrate their work on 7th October. On 6th October, Aldo Cibic
will illustrate the results of the international competition “Towards Rural City”.

La Piazza è curata da ANIT, Associazione Nazionale per l’isolamento Termico ed acustico.
Cuore della Piazza saranno l’Area Mostra - spazio dedicato alle tecnologie e alla corretta posa
in opera - e il Forum, con tanti eventi gratuiti per i professionisti sulle tematiche più attuali
legate all’efficienza dell’involucro.
ENERGY EFFICIENT ENVELOPE PLAZA
This Plaza is managed by ANIT, the National Association for Energy and Sound Insulation.
The Exhibition Area and the Forum will be the heart of the Plaza. The exhibition area will be
dedicated to technologies and installation procedures. The Forum will include free events for
professional operators on the most up to date issues associated with the building efficiency.

incontri tecnici/specialistici, dimostrazioni dal vero, dibattiti, su: Sicurezza nei condomini,
servizi finanziari e assicurativi, energia & ambiente, domotica, portierato elettronico,
manutenzione del condominio e communication condominiale.

The Plaza, organized by Consorzio Convalido, will host small seminars, technical meetings,
video displays and live demonstrations on the following subjects: Safety in apartment
buildings, financial and insurance services, energy and the environment, domotics, electronic
porter services, building maintenance and building communications.

Nella Piazza saranno realizzati incontri tecnici, a cura di DEI Tipografia del Genio Civile,
sul tema del Recupero da un punto di vista della sicurezza del cantiere, del progetto,
delle strutture, dell’efficienza energetica, della realizzazione, del degrado dei materiali,
dell’antisismica, delle indicazioni delle Norme Tecniche.
BUILDING RENOVATION PLAZA
The space will host technical meetings on the theme of renovation from the viewpoint of
site safety, project design, structures, energy efficiency, implementation, deterioration of
materials, seismic protection and the indications of the Technical Standards. The meetings
are coordinated by DEI Tipografia del Genio Civile.
PIAZZA DELL’ACQUA E DELLE SOLUZIONI AMBIENTALI
Quattro giorni di incontri gratuiti coi maggiori esperti del mondo professionale sulle principali
tematiche legate all’acqua: dalla progettazione di pozzi alle applicazioni in campo energetico,
dagli impianti di depurazione e dissalazione alle piscine, fino alle opere e agli interventi di
difesa dal rischio idraulico dei bacini idrogeografici. A cura di Flaccovio Editore.
PLAZA OF WATER AND ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS
Four days of free meetings with the world’s leading experts on the main issues associated with
water: development of water wells, energy related applications, water treatment systems,
desalination and swimming pools. The events will include topics related to the management
