Excavations at Tell Afis (Syria) under the direction of Prof. Stefania Mazzoni of
the University of Pisa, as site-supervisor, in the years 1994 (Iron Age ceremonial area) and
1997-2006 (Area E3), in charge of the study of the stratigraphy and Early/Middle and
Middle Bronze Age pottery of this area and student training;
Excavations at Harim (Syria) under the direction of Prof. S. Gelichi of the
University of Venice (2000);
Excavations at Tell Brak (Syria) under the direction of Dr Roger Matthews of the
British School of Archeology in Iraq as site-supervisor and registrar in charge of the study
of Middle Uruk pottery (1994 and 1996);
Excavations at Tell Barri (Syria) under the direction of Prof. P.E. Pecorella of the
University of Firenze, as site-supervisor and registrar in charge of the study of the third
millennium pottery (1989-91);
Excavation of a Roman villa at Antella (Firenze) under the direction of Dr L.
Lepore of the University of Firenze (1987);
Excavations at the Etruscan site of Macchia del Monte (Massa Marittima,
Grosseto) under the direction of Prof. G. Camporeale of the University of Firenze in the
