Schüco-Objekt-Information
Es ist, als sei ein Raumschiff direkt neben der Autobahn Ausfahrt Bozen
Süd inmitten der Apfelbaumplantagen gelandet. Es erscheint dem
Betrachter ein lang gezogener Komplex unterschiedlichster geometrischer Volumina mit einem fast fünfzig Meter hohen Keil am Ende. Dem
Südtiroler Outdoor-Ausrüster Salewa ist hiermit ein Geniestreich gelungen. Den ca. 22 Millionen Autofahrern, die vom und zum Brenner fahren, springt dieses Gebäude unweigerlich ins Auge – eine gigantische
Werbung. Der Gebäudekomplex beherbergt neben Shoppingzentren und
gastronomischen Einrichtungen unter anderem die modernste Kletterhalle
der Welt. In deren Süden lässt sich ein riesiges Tor öffnen, welches den
Sportlern Frischluft bringt, während sie gleichzeitig im Trockenen ihrem
Sport frönen können. Das skulpturale Gebäude ist von einer Fassade aus
durchlöchertem dunklen Metall umwickelt. Von der Ferne betrachtet sieht
dieser aufregende Architekturbeitrag des Mailänder Büros Cino Zucchi und
Park Associati aus wie ein mächtiger dunkler Bergkristall.

It is as if a spaceship has landed next to the Bolzano South motorway exit
amidst the apple orchards. To the beholder it appears as an elongated
complex made up of different geometric shapes, with a wedge almost
50 metres high at the end. This was a stroke of genius by the South
Tyrolean outdoor adventure outfitter, Salewa. Around 22 million motorists
travelling to and from the Brenner Pass drive past this unmissable and
eye-catching structure, which thus acts as a gigantic advertisement.
Alongside shopping centres and gastronomic restaurants, the building
complex also houses the most state-of-the-art climbing hall in the world.
To the south lies a huge door which can be opened to provide the climbers
with fresh air, allowing them to indulge their passion indoors. The sculptural building is enclosed by a perforated dark metal façade. Seen from a
distance, this exciting work by Milanese architects Cino Zucchi and Park
Associati, resembles a powerful, dark rock crystal.

C’est comme si un engin spatial avait atterri directement à côté de la sortie
Bozen Sud de l’autoroute, en plein milieu des pommeraies. Aux yeux de
l’observateur se manifeste un complexe étiré en longueur, fait de volumes
géométriques les plus divers terminés en une extrémité par un piton de
près de cinquante mètres de hauteur. Basé dans le Tyrol méridional, cet
équipementier de plein-air a eu ainsi un trait de génie. Les quelque 22
millions d’automobilistes en direction ou en provenance du tunnel du
Brenner sont inévitablement confrontés à la présence de ce bâtiment
colossal. L’ouvrage saute aux yeux et l’effet publicitaire est phénoménal.
Le complexe héberge entre autres, outre des centres commerciaux et des
enseignes gastronomiques, le hall d’escalade artificielle le plus moderne
du monde. Sur le côté sud, il est possible d’ouvrir un gigantesque portail
apportant de l’air frais aux sportifs tandis qu’ils s’adonnent à leur sport
favori en atmosphère sèche. Ce bâtiment sculptural est entouré d’une façade
en métal foncé ajourée de toutes parts. Observée de loin, cette captivante
contribution architecturale due au cabinet milanais Cino Zucchi e Park
Associati ressemble à un imposant cristal de roche de couleur foncée.

In corrispondenza dell’uscita autostradale Bolzano Sud, colpisce un
insieme architettonico sfaccettato e articolato in piastre e torri, la più alta
delle quali a 50 metri di altezza. L’edificio è articolato come una serie di
paesaggi esterni ed interni in forte relazione con gli elementi dell’ambiente
circostante, le Dolomiti, i boschi circostanti e i campi di meli. L’immagine
di riferimento è quella di un cristallo di rocca. La superficie esterna è
stata pensata come combinazione di una pelle di rivestimento in alluminio
microforato elettrocolorato a protezione delle parti più esposte dell’edificio
e un grande manto cristallino verticale interamente esposto a nord. Un’idea
geniale quella di Salewa, azienda leader nel settore dell’abbigliamento
tecnico da montagna. Gli automobilisti che si dirigono o provengono
dal Brennero, circa 22 milioni in un anno, passano davanti a questo
edificio che spicca in modo evidente, rappresentando per Salewa anche
un efficacissimo strumento di promozione. Oltre ai punti vendita e alle
strutture di ristorazione, il complesso ospita anche la palestra d’arrampicata
più grande d’Italia ed una delle più moderne al mondo. Come un grande
boccascena apribile e chiudibile sul lato est del complesso, dà agli sportivi
la sensazione di stare all’aria aperta, mentre si arrampicano comodamente
all’interno. Visto da lontano, questo brillante risultato architettonico, frutto
del lavoro degli studi Cino Zucchi Architetti e Park Associati, appare come
un’imponente montagna di cristallo.
