Duration: about 2 minutes. https://vimeo.com/114300617 This performance uses a bracelet that I designed and cast alongside a series of instruction-drawings. If during the exhibition somebody asks me about my work, I tell him/her that “my work is a performance that I can show only if you help me rehearse it”, then I give him/her a pile of 20 drawing to show me. These are the instructions for a series of movements and sounds that I promptly execute. The collaborator doesn’t know what the instructions are or the duration of the piece. Since the drawings are small the person needs to be close to me and to move in the space following my movements and sounds. The instructions are based on the reactions of a 1 year old child to the bracelet. Poto and Cabengo meeting X, 2014 Performance and clay sculpture. Duration: 3 or more hours. https://vimeo.com/114300379 In the exhibition space is a clay sculpture of a black stone which I ask people to hold or to pass between them but not to put down anywhere. I make an effort to greet the visitors, chat about the exhibition and engage in small talk. During these exchanges, I only speak with the 123 words that constitute my two years old son's vocabulary. The performance is not announced and there is no explanation of it in the press release.
