A Tropea, luglio 2000, Aveva le lacrime
agli occhi Deborah, ma anche una grande
fiducia nei propri mezzi e una profonda
serenita interiore. Mesi e mesi di allenamento, una squadra addestrata a seguirla
e assisterla, i grand! sforzi organizzativi
degli sponsor: tutto per uno strepitoso
record, fortemente voluto. Deborah ha
prima battutto se stessa nel regolamentato [-95 m) e conquistato poi, nell'assoluto,

Deborah's eyes. And yet she trusted her
skills and felt calm and relaxed inside.
Several months of training, a whole team
trained to follow and support her, huge
organization efforts by the sponsors: all
this for an exceptional record, which she
had strongly fought for. Deborah first
beated her own previous record in variable
buoyancy control (-95) and then, in the "No
Limits" dive, she won the title of the
"deepest" woman in the world (-115 m).

millennio. Come nella precedente Space Frog, la pala
della nuova Space Frog One nasce direttamente dal
plantare della pinna e diventa cosi un vero prolungamento del piede, che risulta del tutto solidale con la
pinna trasferendo tutta la spinta della pinneggiata
senza dispersioni. Ma sono i material! di Space Frog
One a portare le innovazioni piu notevoli. La pala ё
realizzata in un nuovissimo tecnopolimero trasparente dalle eccezionali caratteristiche tecniche, con
insert! in materiale morbido nella spina centrale. Gli
inserti, stampati a battistrada, attraversano il dorso
della pala e, combinandosi con la rigidita del tecnopolimero, aumentano la flessibilita e il ritorno elastico della pala, migliorando ulteriormente I'efficacia
della pinneggiata. II risultato e una pala ancora piu
potente rispetto alia precedente Space Frog, piu
robusta e piu resistente alle sollecitazioni della
pinneggiata, per una pinna estremamente leggera e facile da usare.

Т SPACE FROG ONE - With Space Frog One,
Cressi-sub crosses the finish line for fins in the new
millennium. Like in the previous Space Frog model,
the blade of the new Space Frog One originates
directly from the fin sole, thus becoming like a real
foot extension. The fin becomes an integral part of
the foot, thus maximizing kicking efficiency without
any loss of thrust. However, Space Frog One's
ground-breaking innovation is mainly achieved by its
contraction materials. The blade is in a brand new
type of clear high-tech polymer with outstanding
technical properties, and soft inserts along the
central ribbing. Inserts are moulded into a tire tread
pattern across the full blade thickness. Coupled with
the more rigid high-tech polymer, they enhance fin
flexibility. The result is an even more powerful blade
than the previous Space Frog model, as well as a
stronger and more resistant fin to kicking stress,
and yet extremely light and easy to use.

Rispetto a una maschera tradizionale e piu ampio di 30°, in tutte le
direzioni e soprattutto verso il basso: I'angolo di inclinazione della sua
lente e stato infatti studiato e brevettato dalla Cressi per assicurare
una visibilita totale. Cos! anche vestirsi in acqua поп e piu un problema. Lampiezza del campo visivo поп ostacola la compensazione, grazie al volume interno ridotto, comparable a quello di una maschera

Cressi has researched and patented the angle of the
lenses to guarantee all-round visibility. This makes
the problem of getting changed in the water a thing
of the past. To ensure that the wider field of vision
does not interfere with compensation, the Big Eyes'
internal volume is c o m p a r a b l e to that of a
traditional mask. The double lens design makes for
extremely natural vision and does not tire out the
eyes. The profiled anatomical frame is streamlined

A MINIMA- Minima e I'innovazione assoluta Cressi-sub, che combina i vantaggi piu interessanti di una maschera e di un occhialino in
un prodotto nuovissimo, che offre comfort e tenuta abbinati ad
un'elevata idrodinamicita e ad un volume interno estremamente
ridotto. II facciale anatomico, in morbido silicone anallergico, si adatta perfettamente al viso. La tenuta e ottimizzata dal cinturino con
fibbia regolabile, simile a quella delle maschere Cressi tradizionali,
per un'adesione semplice e perfetta a ogni tipo di volto. II volume
interno di Minima, veramente "minimo", consents una compensazione estremamente facile, rendendola ideale per I'uso in apnea.

A MINIMA- Minima is Cressi-sub's ground-breaking product: by matching
the most interesting benefits of a standard mask with those of goggles, a
brand new product has been designed which offers a comfortable fit and
perfect watertightness coupled with top hydrodynamic properties and an
extremely small internal volume. The anatomical skirt in soft hypoallergenic silicone perfectly adjusts to the diver's face. Watertightness is
improved by the strap with adjustable buckle similar to Cressi's
conventional masks, ensuring a perfect fit to every type of face. Minima's
internal volume - which is actually "minimal"- allows for extremely easy
compensation, thus making it the ideal mask for apnea divers.
Outstanding hydrodynamic properties, due to its specially shaped profile
without sharp angles, which follows the diver's face outline. Small overall

Langolo di inclinazione delle lenti frontali, brevetto Cressi, amplia il campo
visivo di 30° soprattutto verso il
basso, tanto da permettere una comoda vestizione in acqua: una visibilita eccezionale, che diventa totale
grazie alle 2 "finestre" lateral! nel cerchietto. La straordinaria ampiezza del
campo visivo поп ostacola la compensazione, perche il volume interno della
Horizon ё incredibilmente ridotto,
addirittura inferiore alia media delle
maschere a 2 vetri. II sottilissimo cerchietto, sagomato anatomicamente,
risulta invisibile una volta indossato,
per una leggerezza pari a quella di un
occhialino Galileo. Per un comfort
totale, il facciale anatomico in silicone
anallergico ha un anello di tenuta
lungo tutto il perimetro, e il cinghiolo
ё dotato delle praticissime fibbie a

vision available today, through the
combination of raked front lenses
(also the winning feature of Big Eyes]
and side glasses. Raked front lenses Cressi's patent - allow for a 30°
increase in field of vision, especially
downwards. Therefore, getting
changed in the water becomes an
easy task: outstanding, even total
visibility is offered through two side
"windows" in the frame. However, this
e x c e p t i o n a l field of vision is no
hindrance to compensation, since
Horizon's internal volume is incredibly
small, even less than the standard 2lens mask. The very thin, anatomically
profiled frame is no longer visible
when the mask is put on, being as

medium/larger sized mask, Cressi's new single-lens
model is made using the same manufacturing process
as the legendary Pinocchio design. As a result, the
mask has a much wider field of vision and is lighter than
single-lens models assembled using overlapping
moulds. The wraparound frame is ultra-fine while the
skirt is made from soft, flexible, top-quality clear or dark
silicone to guarantee watertightness and comfort. The
buckle on the strap is extremely easy to adjust.

The tube, without flexible joint, is securely mounted on the
mouthpiece holder with several grooves and 0-rings: this is a
useful feature particularly during ascent with self-breathing
apparatus and when the snorkel is placed back into the jacket
pocket. Other comfort enhancing features of this snorkel
even for the most demanding professional divers are: profiled
guard, elliptical tapered tube, angled mouthpiece, increased
well for better drainage, larger internal elliptical valve for
improved drainage.

A Compatto, robusto e tecnologicamente avanzato. Corpo in materiale
termoplastico di grande affidabilita. Calotta di nuovissima concezione,
ha lo scudo frontale metallico in acciaio inox satinato inserito nella calotta termoplastica. II tutto, assemblato in due griglie dal disegno moderno
ed aggressive, conferisce all'erogatore un carattere estremamente
tecnico. II corpo del 2° Stadio ha un disegno accattivante e compatto.
Regolazione delta sforzo di inspirazione grazie al comodo pomello posto
sull'erogatore, caratteristica che risulta particolarmente efficace in
caso di leggera perdita del 2° Stadio [dovuta, ad esempio, a granelli di
sabbia posatisi sulla valvola]. Una leggera rotazione permette all'erogatore di bloccare eventual! perdite, senza gravare eccessivamente sullo
sforzo inspiratorio del sub. II subacqueo puo quindi effettuare una taratura personale dell'erogatore, adeguandolo alle proprie necessita.
Nuovo disegno del corpo, intercambiabile con le precedent! version! XS,
e nuovo disegno del convogliatore di scarico [baffo). Questo, una volta
assemblato sul corpo dell'erogatore, previene indesiderati ingressi d'acqua: proteggendo in particolare particolarmente la valvolina di scarico,
migliorando le prestazioni in espirazione del 2° Stadio e riducendo il
lavoro respiratorio. Gli interni del corpo e del baffo sono stati completamente ridisegnati con modernissimi sistemi CAD, per migliorare ed ottimizzare le prestazioni dell'erogatore. II boccaglio
anatomico e molto confortevole. La struttura complessiva e realizzata in ottone cromato, acciaio inox
resistente alia corrosione e moderne resine acetaliche termoplastiche antiusura. Caratteristica tecnica dominante e la valvola lineare bilanciata pneumaticamente, che sfrutta una camera di bilanciamento posta all'estremita della valvola stessa per
bilanciare ed eguagliare la forza dell'aria che giunge dal primo stadio, contribuendo cosi alia spinta
della molla di chiusura. Questo sistema consents

A Modello che segue la linea del bilanciato pneumatico,
ovviamente privo della manopola di regolazione.
Caratteristiche ugualmente assimilabili al modello bilanciato. II tappo posto lateralmente sulla cassa agevola la
taratura di produzione о dei centri autorizzati alia revisione, che potranno preassemblare I'erogatore, chiuderlo con la calotta e fare una messa a punto fine della
taratura [svitando il tappo ed usando la chiave in dotazione). Erogatore downstream classico. Lapertura della
valvola avviene nella stessa direzione del flusso d'aria
proveniente dal primo stadio. In entrata sulla valvola,
esercita una spinta sull'estremita dell'alberino che
costringe la valvola ad aprirsi. Tale forza viene pero
contrastata da una molla precalibrata, che spinge nella
direzione opposta, chiudendo la valvola. La spinta della
molla deve essere leggermente superiore alia forza di
entrata del flusso, in modo che I'ingresso rimanga chiuso fino all'inspirazione. Tale depressione effettuata dal
subacqueo all'interno dell'erogatore abbassera di conseguenza la membrana agente sulla leva della valvola.
Questa ё la differenza tra il sistema downstream classico e quello bilanciato: lo sforzo di inspirazione in un
sistema classico e sicuramente superiore a quello che
si ha con un sistema bilanciato, in quanto risulta direttamente proporzionale alia resistenza della molla.
Maggiore il canco di quest'ultima e maggiore lo sforzo
per aprire la valvola. Per altre caratteristiche vale
quanto riportato per I'erogatore XS Plus: stessa meccanica ma applicata ad una nuova cassa che ottimizza i
flussi, migliorandone le gia ottime prestazioni. Anche il
baffo e stato rivisto e migliorato, al fine di ridurre lo
sforzo espiratorio e migliorare le prestazioni in termini
di lavoro dell'erogatore. II nuovo 2° Stadio non regolabile si inserisce a pieno merito nella grande tradizione di
qualita degli erogatori Cressi, con i quali condivide una
totale intercambiabilita.

obviously without regulation dial. Technical features
identical to the balanced model. The plug on the case
side allows for calibration by the manufacturer and
authorised service centres, who can рге-assemble the
regulator, close the cap, and proceed with fine-tune
adjustment (by screwing off the plug and using the
supplied key). Conventional downstream regulator. The
valve opens in the same direction of the air flow from
the first stage. When flowing into the valve, it presses
against the spindle end, forcing the v a l v e open.
However, this force is offset by a pre-calibrated spring,
which pushes to the opposite direction, thus shutting
the valve. The spring force must be slightly higher than
the force of the incoming flow, so that the port remains
closed during inhalation. This pressure loss inside the
regulator caused by the diver will lower the membrane
acting on the valve lever. This is the difference between
the conventional downstream and balanced system: in
a c o n v e n t i o n a l system, the inhalation e f f o r t is
undoubtedly higher than in a balanced system, because
it is directly proportional to spring resistance. The
higher the load on the spring, the greater the effort to
open the valve. All the other features are the same as
the XS Plus regulator: same engineering, this time
applied to a new case for optimised flow, and further
enhanced performance. The exhaust piece has also
been r e v i s e d and upgraded, to further reduce
b r e a t h i n g e f f o r t and improve the regulator
performance. The new non adjustable 2nd stage keeps
up with Cressi tradition of top-quality regulators, and it
is perfectly interchangeable with them.

A II kit antifreeze viene venduto separatamente dal
nuovo 1° Stadio e consiste in un top metallico in
ottone cromato, che sostituisce la ghiera di regolazione della pressione intermedia dell'erogatore. Con
la ghiera, I'erogatore era soggetto all'ingresso di
acqua fino al piattello, che spingeva sulla membrana
e regolava le variazioni di pressioni che awenivano
in profondita. II piattello le awertiva e trasmetteva al
meccanismo interne dell'erogatore vero e proprio,
che prowedeva al bilanciamento della pressione
intermedia. Con il kit antifreeze questo non awiene:
il top contiene al suo interno una membrana siliconica che dall'esterno awerte le variazioni di pressioni
introflettendosi e trasmettendo una forza ad un
pistoncino collegato al piattello, che spinge a sua
volta sulla membrana. Questa guarnizione di silicone rende cosi I'erogatore stagno, non permettendo
ingressi d'acqua al suo interno, fatto che, in condizione di acque fredde, potrebbe creare i presupposti per un congelamento dei meccanismi.
DIN with ANTIFREEZE KIT
Т The antifreeze kit is sold separately from the 1 st
stage: it features a chrome-plated metal top, which
replaces the bush for regulator intermediate
pressure adjustment. With the standard bush,
water flows into the regulator up to the plate, which
presses against the membrane thus adjusting to
pressure changes at the various depths. The plate
reacts to these changes transmitting them to the
internal mechanism of the regulator proper, which
then balances the intermediate pressure off. This
is no longer the case with the antifreeze kit: the
top contains a silicone membrane inside, which
reacts to external pressure changes by in-folding,
and pushing against a small piston connected
with the plate, which in turn is pushed against the
membrane. The silicone gasket makes the
regulator watertight and no water is allowed to flow
into it, which, when the water is very cold, is bound
to freeze the various mechanisms.
