E-mag Season 2: WRITE a European magazine together E-mag 2013-14 SEASON 2: My hometown LET'S WRITE A EUROPEAN MAGAZINE TOGETHER! The project will start end of September and will finish end of May. We' re looking for partners from every country in Europe in order to have a view from each country. We're two English teachers from an arts and crafts vocational school in Lyon, France. We have a group of 25 students aged around 16 - 19 .They study various trades such as printing,cabinet making,photography,fashion design etc.... Our lesson will take place on Tuesdays from 2 pm to 4pm. So if any of you can use skype we could communicate at that time! It would be great! But we also wish our students to get to know each other and to communicate via e-twinning or chat . The magazine is written via a blog that we 've created. The idea is sharing files and getting to know each other's culture through varied topics Write about the interesting events that take place in our hometown,like: music,news in brief, legends and folklore, cookery,cooking recipes, teens life and expectations etc..... The tools: Skype,Power Points, blog, chat, etc. Strumenti da usare: Altri software (PowerPoint, video, foto e disegni), Ambienti di apprendimento virtuale (comunità, aule virtuali …), Chat, Diario del progetto, email, Forum, MP3, Pubblicazione su Web, TwinSpace, Videconferenza Obiettivi: The aim of this project is to write a European magazine for young people. The magazine will be written byyoung representatives from as many countries as possible to give a wider span of viewpoints. Get to know others' cultures and lifestyles, become tolerant towards other nations, build active citizenship, overcome prejudices... It will help our students widen their knowledge and culture. Our countries are becoming more and more multi-ethnical and this is another reason why it is important to establish strong links with other people all over Europe. It will enrich our students’ experience and prepare them for the world of work. Procedura di lavoro: Deadlines and schedule: Our school year will start on September 1st but we will welcome our “mag’s students on Tuesday. Our lesson will take place on Tuesdays from 2 pm to 4 pm. First issue of the magazine: beginning of October 2013 End of e-funmag: May 2014 The project will be twofold: E-twinning myspace - Our students will have to edit their profile and introduce themselves on e-twinning "myspace", speak about their school, their hobbies, their country. : - They will write to each other through e-twinning so as to exchange ideas. Indeed, they will be able to communicate in English with their e-pals. Our students will get the opportunity to use English in an interesting meaningful way. We’re also hoping to use skype with some of you …. getting to know each other through e-twinning (or e-mails, face book, Skype, photo or video presentations) Who am I? Where am I from? Drawing myself (using a description), my life at school etc …. Magazine via blog Flags from every country will be put at the top of each article. Each student (or in pairs) will write an article and publish it on a blog NEVER FORGET THE FLAG OF YOUR COUNTRY ON EACH ARTICLE). – To start the blog, a pair of students from every country will write the editorial which will be about active citizenship. – Others will start working on the next section : Language in order to get ready for the first event of the mag celebrating the day of language on September 26th. Sections of the blog: Section 1: editorial Active citizenship (in my town?) Section 2: September 26th: the day of languages - create a page for every country with a photo representing the best your country as well as your flag. - put on the page a tiny dictionary with the ten most used every day phrases of your language or the pupils' favourite words translated into English.This will be to celebrate the Day of languages on Sept 26th. Section 3: Presentation of your home town Section 4: A traditional recipe Section 5: leisure in your hometown Section 6: sports Section 7: festivals in your town Section 8: music events Section 9: News in brief Section Section 10: a fairy tale Section 11: legends of your hometown Section 12: a short comic strip.
