PRESS RELEASE
PRESERVING PERSONAL AND FAMILY ASSETS:
PRIVATE BANKING
FOR FINANCIAL AND INHERITANCE PLANNING
A Cesifin Foundation and Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking convention
outlines asset management tools and regulations
in today’s complex scenario
Florence, 22 February 2012 – How to protect one's family assets or what can be the best inheritance
form in order to guarantee a solid future to one's business? These and other issues will be addressed
during the convention “Private Banking. A tool for wealth planning”, which Cesifin Alberto
Predieri Foundation (instrumental foundation of Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze) and Intesa
Sanpaolo Private Banking will be hosting on 24 February at Palazzo Incontri of Banca CR Firenze.
In today’s extremely complex and unstable scenario, it is indeed necessary to carefully analyse the
financial, legal and insurance variables at hand in order to make the most appropriate asset
management choices: the event, thanks to the pool of skills in business and insurance law, notarial
professionalism and banking expertise, makes it possible to develop proposals addressed to those
private individuals and entrepreneurs concerned with wealth planning issues.
Private Banking in particular – a banking business segment specialised in offering financial
services to high net worth individuals – combines professional skills and know-how capable of
providing the most suitable solutions to manage intergenerational wealth transfers and preserve
personal and family assets.
The convention will deal with issues such as the legal aspects of financial and insurance products,
succession in corporations, the different asset management forms from fiduciary services to trusts.
Furthermore, the widespread phenomenon of family-run businesses, which is typical of this
territory, draws the event's attention to the issue of continuity of family assets over time, together
with the need to provide the family business capital with adequate protection, whatever its assets,
securities and real estate composition.
The event will open with a keynote speech by Giuseppe Morbidelli, Università La Sapienza di
Roma and President of Cesifin Alberto Predieri Foundation. Speakers: Francesco Velluti, Intesa
Sanpaolo Private Banking Marketing Manager, Pierpaolo Marano, Business Law and Insurance
Law Lecturer at Università Cattolica di Milano, Flavio Ravera, Head of Intesa Sanpaolo Private
Banking Wealth Management, Stefania Pedroni, Sirefid Customer Relations Manager, and
Marco Maltoni, Notary in Forlì and Member of the Business Studies Commission of the Notary
National Council.
